Jay Lethal shall lose again. He basically loses almost every match?
He wins on Dark Elevation and regular Dark on Mondays and Tuesdays, respectively.
Lethal is lucky that he gets the wins that he does. He MIGHT be worth pushing in ROH. There is too much talent on the roster to protect Lethal anymore than he already is. I have seen him in ROH dating back to 2002. His ascension to the top of ROH was not during their better years. In present day AEW there are so many ahead of him in line as it is. Lethal will get a bigger push after The Elite, Moxley, Hangman, Punk, Death Triangle, Adam Cole, The Acclaimed, Orange Cassidy, Danielson, Moxley, Claudio, House of Black, Jericho & Sammy of the YAS, Lance Archer, Christian, Darby, Eddie Kingston & P&P, Ethan Page, FTR, Hook, Sting, Jungle Boy, Keith Lee, Juice Robinson, Takeshita, KOR, MJF, Rush, Starks, Bandido, Hobbs, Samoa Joe, Scorpio Sky, Sting, Swerve and lastly, of course, Wardlow. Sure Lethal should be on TV. I just wouldn’t push him ahead of any of the above mentioned. Also more of a priority the various tag teams, about six women and everyone’s favourites - Wheeler Yuta, Lee Moriarty, Action Andretti and Daniel Garcia.
I put them last because they split the fanbase somewhat. Tag teams like Top Flight, Lucha Bros, Bucks of Youth, Private Party, knights of the Black Throne, Silver & Reynolds, The Gunns and 2point0 all seem more over and have some connection to the fanbase.
Lethal can definitely do more than what he currently does in AEW. I just couldn’t justify his role over pushing 99% of the names already mentioned. Before Andrade flaked out he and Rush could’ve been recruited by Lethal. They would have the natural rivalry with the boys of Death Triangke.
Any team with Lethal, Jarrett and Satnam Singh fits more in those 1990s WAR shows. There are at least ten trios that I would push before the nameless faction led by Sonjay Dutt. If Lethal arrived earlier in 2021 or 2020 he could be one of the top guys by now. Once Miro arrived and brought everyone else with him the depth of AEW isn’t as shallow as it originally was.
