Let's break down what we just saw on Summerslam and, as a bonus, we'll highlight what it proved about the IWC.

1) People on this forum have been whining like stinky-diapered babies that Santino made a mockery of the US title. Even before SS officially began, Cesaro defeated Santino. For those trying to keep count, that's one less reason for WF members to whine.

2) Jericho, one of the darlings of WF, finally snagged a win on the big stage in a very solid (though admittedly not perfect) match.

3) WF members have been throwing tantrums because their deity, Daniel Bryan, hasn't won every match. Tonight he defeats Kane cleanly.

4) After the above results, know-it-alls on this forum declared, "Yup, Cena's winning tonight." Don't believe me? Go read the official thread. So-called "experts" here always hope you won't actually go back and read their oh-so-insightful predictions. Oh, I guess I should get to the point: Cena didn't win.

5) No divas match, no Ryback squash, no Funkasaurus, no silly weddings, no fat slob Tensai. These are ALL good things, and all things WF members complained about in previous PPVs. Instead we got a lot of focus on actual wrestling (that IS the product, remember?)

6) A main event outcome that nobody expected, period. A "big four" PPV never ends with the heel winning cleanly -- except tonight. Unpredictability is the best part about pro wrestling, and that's what we got tonight. Also, even though street-fight type matches aren't my cup of tea, so many WF members are STILL masturbating over the HHH/Undertaker matches which were just as void of actual wrestling as tonight's main event. Go ahead and deny it, and you'll know you're full of crap.

So with all these things in mind, what's the early reaction of WF? Whining. And more whining. And more whining. And more puffing out chests and bragging about streaming the PPV and how this was shit, blah blah blah.

I am not a fan of Vince McMahon -- at all -- but I have to give him credit for one thing. He is systematically exposing the IWC for what it is: a haven for miserable people who are only happy when they have reasons to complain. They just got a minimum of 6 major things they've been clamoring for and they still declare a PPV to be shit. The WWE would be foolish to try to appease the cynical, dark corners of the Internet. These people cannot be pleased.

Audio transcripts of this post will be available shortly, and I highly recommend them for you've just been schooled. Class dismissed.

i tend to agree with you. but then theres people like me who bitch and moan just because i only care about like 3 wrestlers in wwe and get mad that i have to sit through everyone elses boring ass matches. but i have accepted that and come to terms with it, so i wont deny it. im just a mark for 96(ISH)-03/04ish

Haven't you figured out why they all love Punk/Bryan so much and hate Orton/Cena? Because Punk and Bryan are the undersized comic book-reading nerds, while Cena and Orton represent the "Jocks" or "chavs" that used to pick on them.. they all need to grow up and stop being so bitter about their lives.

Disclaimer: I like Bryan and Punk before any of you rant on

I like Punk and Bryan more because I prefer their characters and put on better matches, imo.

And 2/10 WOULD NOT WATCH AGAIN. WORST PPV OF ALL TIME SINCE LAST MONTH AND UNTIL NEXT MONTH.

OP, you just now catching on to something that has been happening forever with us, the IWC?

If everything was perfect and went the way we wanted, it would really be no purpose of coming on this site. Also, you taking the opinions of a few and attributing them to the entire IWC, which is a lot more than who posts here.

"IWC Exposed" would usually imply that we were "exposed" for being wrong about something....in which case, the WWE did nothing to prove us wrong, and everything to prove us right.

So, can you tell us, Mr. OP, where were we Exposed?

Also, if you're posting on this site, or any site about wrestling and how it goes down, you're a part of the IWC. How does it feel?

C'mon now, we had the right results and no fillers, so we're supposed to pretend like this was a super PPV, just cos they got the basics right? Okay, so they just need to get the build/atmosphere/quality matches bit correct and were good. Yes? Schooled? Pfft! A ME that nobody predicted?? WTF! I (like many others) was very confident Bork would win, and then Heyman talking up a tapping out scenario put that squarely on the table. Very poor thread. Booooo!!! Oh, and no, the IWC is NOT one person.

1) There is no such thing as "the IWC".

2) People are allowed to not like things.
Nah, come back when you have something substantive to say. What you just did is known as "deflection" and it doesn't work on me.

Edit: also a Straw Man in there. Nicely done!

There's literally nothing to say. People constantly feel the need to make these threads where they stereotype the collective opinions of hundreds of thousands if not millions of fans from all over the world. You are attacking a non-existent group's imagined opinions because "they" were displeased with something that you think "they" should have been pleased with.

If the point of this thread is that people have stupid, contradictory opinions, so what? People are allowed to have stupid, contradictory opinions.

The stereotype holds true, the evidence is all over this site tonight. Just because you want to plug your ears and say, "Nah nah, can't hear you!" doesn't mean I'm not right. There's even empirical evidence in the "Rate Summerslam out of 10" thread, go 'head and have a look.

And yes, there IS a very real, tangible segment of the population that qualifies as a nasty, cynical, not-happy-unless-happy group of people on the Internet. You can pretend it doesn't exist, and you're wrong.
