How do you guys cut images so good, i try and it doesnt really come out well, any tips?(i'm sorry if this is in the wrong section)

Thanks Shady, i've been trying to get everything right for a new banner since it hasnt been a full 1 1/2 months yet.

I highlight the section I want to cut, then go up close and erase. Oh, yah and practice, I'm pretty good at it after almost 3 years.

well, whenever my cut comes out bad...i just take out the eraser and start to get rid of the noticeable edges etc.

I use smart highlighting around the hard areas.

Like everyone said, just practice

I use the polygonal (sp?) lasso tool, cut very close to image. And thats normally good, then if its bumpy round some edges, i use the Eraser, set as a brush, not pencil or block, of about 1-5 normally...If its really tricky i sometimes lower the opacity of the eraser brush.

If you really can't cut there is no need to. Have you ever seen me make a banner where I've cut a pic, and hell I ain't that bad am I?

No, but some fo your banners could use a main cut sometimes.

Yeah, exract filter and eraser is probably the best combination.

Personally, I use smart highlighting all the time, I think it gives a better finish.
