By phasing out, I mean his involvement in The Miz's matches.
Because I've noticed that after the Royal Rumble (when he became an offical WWE Superstar), that while he still accompanies The Miz to the ring, cuts promos backstage, and does commentary, he isn't half as physically involved as he used to be.
The night after the Rumble, Miz had a match against Edge, and Riley through a punch, but that was pretty much it.
Last week, The Miz had a tag team match against Jerry Lawler, but Alex Riley wasn't really there to help.
This week, Miz beat both the United States Champion Daniel Bryan on Raw and the Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston on SmackDown, and Riley never even touched the ring in either match.
