His WWE days did not help. He still did the diving headbutt in WWE, which is known to cause concussions. Ask Dynamite Kid or Harley Race.

Even though Bryan is surely in the twilight of his career, I think he still has a lot to offer. As a veteran and an established main eventer on top of being one of the most popular superstars in recent memory, he can surely play his part in some compelling storylines with the new generation of main eventers. Now, it's a completely different matter that a substantial portion of his fanbase are as rabid, immature and downright embarrassing as they come, it is certainly making the management more and more difficult to use him in a manner that someone of the younger generation doesn't get buried just because of the fans' sense of over-entitlement.

This isn't about conspiracies but the fact that he was cleared over 3 months ago should say something to you. He passed their tests but they still wont clear him. It really doesn't matter if Bryan is actually being held back for Reigns or not, what matters is that the most vocal part of the fanbase believes he is. If the perception is strong enough it becomes reality. Whether this is the truth or not is irrelevant if that vocal part of the fanbase is going to treat it if it were true.
I do not believe that it is the case, or at least it is not THE reason Bryan is still being held out, but I can see the arguments people make for it being true, and some of them actually make sense.

And yes the WWEs doctors opinion is more valid because that's the company's doctor Bryan works for. So by default his opinion is more valid.
The 3rd Doctor will be the decision maker.
