Is it safe to say that Daniel Bryan is our era's Chris Benoit?

Daniel Bryan is this eras Bryan Danielson.

He has a similar style, only he kicks more and suplexes less. I won't say he's better or equal but he is funnier.

WWE might want him to be, but Bryan Danielson and Chris Benoit don't have any similarities together. Except the diving headbutt and crossface that they likely assigned to him.

I do like the LeBell Lock but I'd like to see Cattle Mutilation.

Maybe in his style, but personality wise, he's really his own thing.

Bryan uses some Benoit moves, but that's about as far as it goes. Bryan's WWE style has more in common with Yoshi Tatsu than it does Chris Benoit.

Not really. Daniel Bryan is just a great technical wrestler like Chris Benoit. Other then that there's no similarities.

Other than wrestling styles then no. Benoit was more intense in personality.

No, Benoit could never truly hang in the main event while the likes of Triple H, Michaels etc were still roaming round (and not for political reasons.) That won't happen to Bryan because, well, there's no HHHs and Michaelses to take his spot.

Yeah I was gonna say Benoit was a much more intense no nonsense type guy, personality wise I wouldn't say polar opposites but they are opposite ends of the spectrum, in-ring wise there are some similarities but I think Benoit was a little more physical and smash mouth, while Bryan is more uh..."flippy".

Yeah, he pretty much is. They wrestle exactly the same way, even if they have vastly different movesets.

Honestly Bryan doesn't have much personality either. Screaming yes isn't much of a personality.

Well Mic skills are the biggest thing that sets them apart.
