I've never heard him say he was Jewish. I have heard rumours of him saying he was an atheist in the past. I see nothing wrong with his religious beliefs.

 

You can be non religious and still have a Jewish Identity. There are lots of atheist Jews.

This is a major problem in today's society. We care too much about people's "beliefs".

The only reason we care is so we can disagree with them or get an excuse to hate them.

Wrestling is about the story the wrestlers create not about their personal beliefs.

I don't think it's ever been confirmed and he's not religious in the slightest. Brooks is a surname with Irish or a Ashkenazi Jewish background. It came to the States from England in the 1700's. I think people are just making assumptions oh Brooks I guess he has some Israeli descent in him.

But I don't know his family history, I don't think he's ever talked about it. Colt Cabana on the hand is Jewish. Maybe Punk deliberately chose not to mention it just so Vince wouldn't force him to be David Goldman.
