It's a way to keep Jerry on TV and thus making his full coin from his deal. His pay will be linked to being on RAW, if he isn't he'll be getting downside which is a heck of a lot less. For every week they can "update", thats a weeks more full pay for him. Add the t-shirts (even though I am pretty sure he will announce all the money from them going to the Cancer charity or the hospital) and it's all there to make sure "The King" is ok while he is off.

I watched Raw this week without recording and fast forwarding thru the repetitive crap. How many times did Cole announce the interview next week like he had just heard about it? Pretty annoying. Seem like the more the build something up, the more of a let down it is. I suspect since Cole was wetting his pants over it, this will probably turn into just another boring segment meant to fill up time in a 3 hour show.

Punk crashing it would be cool. Predictable, but cool. I miss edgy content, so I'd be ok with it if its done right.

Knowing Lawler, and how old-school he is, he'd be first in line to volunteer his heart attack to become part of the storyline in order to enhance the realism and garner more heat for Punk.
