How'd you change it?

Most people can accept Mania 20 didn't really live up to expectation for the stage it was on.

Going into the event you had Goldberg, Rock, Lesnar, Foley, Benoit, HBK, Takers' return etc, so a stacked roster in terms of star power. Then Eddie and Trips going in as champions, so would you of kept the card the same looking back now or would oyu of changed it?? Looking at the stars, as well as an Austin involvement.

I think the main ones to me is have Goldberg challenge the streak, and The Rock in a singles match as it has proved (thus far) to be his last ever match.

Honestly, I don't think there could have been any card that would live up to the hype that event got for an entire year.

Exacttly. The problem wasn't with the card at all. I still think the card was near perfect and probably the best Wrestlemania card ever constructed. However, the event was ruined by the underwhelming performances on the undercard (In particular Lesnar vs. Goldberg and Undertaker vs. Kane). If those 2 matches had lived up to the hype, it would probably be hailed as one of the best Wrestlemanias definitely.

One thing I might've changed was the tag title situation because 2 identical 4-way matches wasn't very inspired, although personally liked the matches..

I wish the main event was Hunter/Shawn one-on-one--just for the simple fact that it would be talked about more than the forgotten 5-star classic. It's a shame that one of the greatest matches of ALL time gets NO MENTION whatsoever.

here is what i would have done please keep in mind i have no idea what the hype and angles or what gimmicks for that matter were going around at that time.

1.John Cena going over Big Show for the US Title
2.Rey Winning the Cruiser Title in a ladder match or something with every other light weight worker not already on the card
3.Torrie and Sable in the playboy match u know just because
4.WGTT V Paul London and Billy Kidman (would have perfered spanky but i checked he wasnt there then)
5.Christen beating Jericho (that would lead into mainevent push fuk i can dream cant i)
6.Too Cool against Booker and RVD dont care who wins but name a Tag team super fight type of thing
7.Brock Lesner v Goldberg v The Rock Dont care who wins just think it would have been epic
8.WOmens title filler dose it really mater who it was or who won
9.Ric Flair domination Chris Benoit what can i say thats just what i think that dude deserves
10.Angle beating Eddie u know it should have gone down like that
11.Taker v Kane(or who ever drew the short straw that year couse u know who ever it is is doing the job for Taker)
12.Shawn Michaels winning the title from HHH as the mainevent.

I know i know not very logical or anything but that would have been pretty outstanding and well paced card in my book.

HBK and HHH fought so much at other PPV's that this match would have been forgotten, even if it was at Mania. Granted their matches were great, but....

Anyways I thought that triple threat was really great, best match on the card. They couldve made Taker face Lesner or Goldberg...or whip Lesner and Goldberg into a better match, or make Taker face someone that wasen't a washed-up Kane.

I thought WM 20 was good though, the ending with Eddie and Beniot was heartwarming and a great way to end the show.

Just rewatched Lesnar/Goldberg. Really awful match. They really should have had Goldberg take on the streak.

World Heavyweight Championship - Shawn Michaels vs. Eddie Guerrero
Eddie wins the Rumble and HBK wins last man standing at the same PPV. Eddie does what Beniot did and challenges HBK. Main events with Eddie going over

WWE Championship - Chris Beniot over Goldberg Beniot win he belt at No Way Out and and Goldberg wins a match to jump to SmackDown, after Eddie jumped to Raw, for a title shot. Beniot makes Goldberg tap to see him on his way out.

Triple H over Lesnar Dream Match for me and Trips goes over because Brock is leaving

Intercontinental Championship - Randy Orton over The Rock The Rock comes back to back up Foley after Foley turns down a match. Foley, as Cactus Jack to set up a Backlash match, makes a run in but Orton steals it.

Undertaker over Kurt Angle Should have been a Mania match at 22 but have it here early. Angle takes out Kane to have Taker focus on him. First time the streak is really talked about.

Cruiserweight Championship - Rey Mysterio over Dean Malenko Rumors, apparently said he may come back for the open they had, have him put over Mysterio

Christian over Chris Jericho Keep the Same.

United States Championship - John Cena over Big Show Keep the Same.

World Tag Team Championship - Evolution (Flair & Batista) over Rob Van Dam & Booker T Filler. Maybe have Booker turn after the match

Women's Championship - Victoria over Molly Holly Keep the Same.

I would get rid of one of the divas matches to give Taker vs Kane more time and I would had done more to make Brock or Bill happy so they would had given an effort for that match

From a storyline POV, Taker/Kane made sense, esp in the 'deadman' returning.

Goldberg/Lesnar was a huge letdown more on their and probably the crowds part. They may have chosen to half ass it before the PPV, but once they got there, it was like ah fuck it.

It was a dream match of mine, but at the same time I was concerned how it would turn out, should have been a NHB type, esp with the build up.
