Well, umm...

About two weeks after that happened, this happened:

So, is there really a need to acknowledge the turn if the final pre-WWE AJ Styles moment was ^?
Shit, even I forgot about this. I do think the story should allude to both moments though, Gallows & Anderson turning on AJ and the "curtain call". It could be said that "things didn't end well" in Japan but Gallows & Anderson tried to make up with AJ before he left for WWE.

Really? That would just complicate things way too much. They are trying to put across that these guys are Styles' boys, and they have a tight bond where they'll back each other no matter what - bringing up that they turned on him and beat him down earlier in the year will only confuse things. The only people that care whether they mention this are the smarter fans who should be able to understand that it's in WWE's best interest to leave out this complication anyway. So bringing it up would benefit absolutely no one.

WWE simply don't have any reference to any of the Bullet Club actions from NJPW because it's irrelevant since it belongs to the wrestling history of NJPW not WWE. The commentators have avoided ignorance/looking dumb by acknowledging to the WWE fans that AJ/Anderson/Gallows were part of the 'Club' much like a salesman would acknowledge a Colt was a Mustang model to a car enthusiast while avoiding going into detail of specs/performance.

So AJ Styles in kayfabe WWE character should be pissed about a kayfabe beating in another company? Their off screen friendship was real, the in ring turn and beatdown was kayfabe.

They might end up turning on AJ Styles sometime during his wwe run, and then they might acknowledge it saying "It didn't work out in Japan, why does Styles think things would be differently?!" or something like that. It might be a Finn vs. AJ for Summerslam? would be pretty awesome.

Stone Cold was all besties with Rikishi a year after he found out he ran him over with a car and nobody mentioned it so why would they bring up a little scuffle in a company they have never even acknowledged?

Luke Gallows was once an anti-drug cult member. He is also formerly intellectually disabled. Don't believe WWE's lies, sheeple.
