I've always thought that honestly and it would've made a lot of sense. The WCW and ECW are dead. They combine with WWF to form a new league, WWE! It could've had a new logo and everything.
If WWE happened in 2001
Everyone knows that WWF changed to WWE in 2002, and 2001 was the invasion between WCW/ECW vs WWF, but what if WWF was forced to change to WWE in 2001(like around november-december).
Might the ending to the whole Invasion storyline been different?
Cause if WWF had to change their name, and they changed it like a week or two after winning the invasion, wouldn't that have made it looked like they lost?
Or maybe the alliance might have won, and changed the name of the company to World Wrestling Alliance or something?
They'd still keep all of WWF history(even with WWF losing), but just with a different name.
Like how in sports, the OKC Thunder are keeping the Seattle Supersonics history, Phoenix Coyotes keeping Winnipeg Jets history,Washington Nationals keep Montreal Expos history and so on.
