nxt have an amazing amount of talent on their show but a majority of them are not ur stereotypical vince type of guys with the right height and body build that he seems to favour which makes you think how long will they last on the main show before being lost in shuffle and eventually becoming more of a regular on wwe main event facing the likes of heath slater and kofi kingston, but if there was a lightweight and a middleweight division along with a heavyweight division to put them in they could have a better chance of having a solid direction on the main shows but i would stress that a lightweight and middleweight division would have to be treated with respect and hold as much importance as a heavyweight title.

heavyweight - cena, big show, kane, ryback, rowan, harper, bray wyatt, barrett, sheamus, rusev, cesaro, orton, jack swagger, corbin, big e.

middleweight - rollins, ambrose, reigns, ziggler, sami zayne, cody rhodes, the miz , kevins owens, mizdow, fandango, kofi kingston, curtis axel, sin cara

lightweight - daniel bryan, adrian neville, fin balor, itami, kalisto, tyson kidd, tyler breeze, (add 4 more additions to the division)

it could help create more important matches on raw/smackdow with wrestlers vying for a number 1 contenders spot in 3 different divisions and they could create 3 main guys with 3 main events on a ppv, imagine cena as the heavyweight champ in a feud with rusev, reigns as the middleweight champ in a feud with rollins and bryan as ur lightweight champ in a feud with fin balor, rotating the order of the 3 title matches at each ppv.

Nobody will pay to see the third toughest guy fight imo. There wouldn't be long before WWE started spunking cross-division matches.

adding weight classes to a scripted show makes no sense, and it limits matches between stars.
They did with the CW title and they survived. If anything weight classes would be taken seriously by the casuals and even the hardcores.

Just don't see it being appealing, they could probably make it work, but it defeats the purpose, a lot of people want to see an underdog fight. Although, the Cruiserweight belt being brought back wouldn't hurt at all.

The Cruiserweight Title didn't survive. WWE probably realized it was a stupid idea so they retired it.

Weight divisions work in shit like UFC, but WWE has gone so long without weight classes it wouldn't make any sense for them to add it. We've already seen tiny ass guys beat the biggest guys in WWE so adding weight divisions would be irrelevant.

if you are going down that route why is big show who weighs 400lb+ in the same division as orton who weighs maybe 230lb top these days. shouldn't big show, kane and henry be in a super heavy-weight division, add in khali, brodus clay, tensai and you are all set :D

definition of middleweight in boxing is " from 155 lbs (70.5 kg) to 160 lb (72.5 kg)" every single guy you listed would not be eligible. ufc's definition of middleweight is "171 to 185 lb"... why are the likes of owens and reigns (who played football in college at 265lb and over 300lb for the combine) in your middleweight division?

the boxing lightweight limit is 135lb, the ufc lightweight limit is 155lb. having a few friends that wrestle professionally and are in and around bryan/nevilles heights there is no way those guys are 155lb let alone 135lb

Why do people watch wrestling? Because of the spectacle that it is. (grammar?) Weight classes would take way the special atraction that wrestling has and it would be like UFC* only scripted and whats the point of that?

*not 100% life UFC, but you get the point

I don't care much for it, honestly. As for the Crusierweight title, just elevate the Intercontinental already, we don't need any more titles for them to bury.

I'd prefer to have the WHC, a very well pushe IC title and a well pushed European title as well as a healthy tag team division. If the IC and Euro titles meant what they did in their prime I think fans would get behind it, but weight limits divides the roster far too much and limits feuds.

it doesnt have to be a real "division"

so feuds can happen anyway if they are credible. wcws cruiserweight division is the best example how it should look like.

how many of the cruiserweight division in wcw went on to hold the world title in wcw or even mainevent a ppv in wcw before that company closed its doors..

for all the praise it got the cw division in wcw was never booked with respect or viewed on the same level as the heavyweights. it was a nice little division to showcase guys at the bottom of the card or to fill time before the real action took place.

in boxing if floyd mayweather is fighting he is mainevent. in ufc nobody will mainevent above aldo and mcgregor. if in wrestling you could present divisions with clear unbias where something like bryan and zayn would mainevent a ppv for the cw title then no problem but we all know very well that would never happen.
