It would become boring from repetitiveness and appear more gimmick-oriented. The offense material would obviously not be able to be carried into today's programming.

I don't know, but I'd really hate to see these talentless pricks in the attitude era. Part of what made the attitude era great was the WWF had TOP talent that had perfected their craft. Now they just have a bunch of FCW clones with pretty much no personality to set them apart from others.

Seriously PG isn't the problem with the product and the Attitude Era wouldn't make it anymore interesting than waht it is now. The problems with today lies in the talent (or lack of talent) as well as the overscripted nature of the programming. These guys are not actors and therefore they should not be reading off a script.

It'd be what we have now but with more curses and sluttier outfits. The rating being PG is a little iffy for not being allowed to swear at your opponent or make him bleed, etc. but scrilla said it best when he said it's the lack of talent that's making the product dull and repetitive and not which audience the shows are targeting. Watch the shows carefully, every wrestler does the same thing, they come out, stop where the walk-way gets thinner, do a hand signal or pose, walk down the aisle, do another pose on the aporn or on the top rope, try to get as much offense as possible in their match, and either win with a finisher, lose to a finisher, or get beat up by a guy they're feuding with resulting in a DQ. Audience want to see people that are different and "abnormal" in a way; people you wouldn;t see everyday who don't do everyday things. Hogan wasn't an everyday guy, Andre wasn't an everyday guy, Austin wasn't an everyday guy, etc.

We have some great guys atm too but it's like they're all missing something big and no one on the roster has practically everything. The bookers and stuff have to blamed too, though. We have a feud like HHH vs. Taker which came from a stare in the face and bunch of discussion that isn't face to face. Then they take a guy like The Miz or Michael Cole and try to turn them into monsters when they can be convincing chicken shits instead. The fuck are they doing? Commentators don't help at all. They're all really bad.

If WWE still had attitude era stuff, it'd probably die real soon.

Considering most of the people who probably watch attitude era watch UFC now, I'd really think that even if WWE had attitude era stuff, they wouldn't draw that much. If UFC was popular in the 90s, then no way WWF or WCW would have had success at all. Even with NWO,Austin,Rock and those stuff.

Attitude era had so much criticism by the media too for all the things they did. I'm sure they'd have gotten LOTS more criticism too considering how much the media has expanded in the past decade. So if anything, WWE might have been a company getting bad ratings, fans tuning out real quick, not having a strong future audience and one that gets talked about poorly by the media.

it was entertaining when it lasted, if it went on, it would have become pretty boring and dull, all that wacky shit and over the top violence would have gotten old. i for one am glad they toned down all of that "attitude", it's much less embarrassing to watch.

ild also vote that it would be out of business. or close to bankrupt because:

a) continually trying to one up the last stunt would lead to wrestler deaths/injuries

b) the heat from conservative pressure groups would reduce sponsorships and profits.

c) it would just get boring.

d) the attitude era appealed to more mature audiences. These audiences have now migrated towards ufc. Which would lead WWE not to have an audience.

WWE going PG may not be a popular decision but it sure was the best business decision
