On some forums they have a hack in their multimedia forum where you have to post in a thread to get the link. Maybe you can use that so all the lurkers don't take the videos without saying thanks, because when people use yousendit you can only have a certain amount downloads.

Oh? They finally made that hack? I haven't looked at vB.org lately, but I know Jelsoft allowed the hack to be relased a few months ago. I might check it out. I mean, to view the content you must be registered so it's not like guests will be getting the URLs...

I think that would be a great idea, especially for the Women's forums. Finally an end to lurking.

Couldn't do that for the WOW forum. It'd cause to much trouble for people. (sadly) But with the multimedia forum, people's bandwidth wouldn't be wasted and all.

I've seen the hack over at a non-official vB.org source. I might install it, but I think I'll wait a while.

yeah, I download stuff and say thanks, but if it gives posters a nice ego boost having people say thank you to them, then why not?
