Really excited for this. It it wasn't for Covid, we would be having this one in India.
So far the teams which have shown consistent performance are Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Afghanistan to me. Oh and I still can't believe that Pakistan thrashed India by 10 wickets in a world Cup game 😅 and finally managed to make it 12-1 but records are meant to be broken.
I'm really not sure who is gonna win this whole thing as we have witnessed some really unpredictable and shocking games so far. Still I think India can win. Looking forward to their next game.

Missed this thread, but have been keeping up with every game so far! India clinched a must win last night, whilst Australia must do the same tonight.

Shame that Zimbabwe weren't able to compete in this one :-/

England and Pakistan look a level above everyone else at the moment.
Pakistan have been great to watch. A real suprise packet.

England have been extraordinary in all disciplines. Buttler especially is in God-mode at the moment. Amazing that they can still be so far ahead of the rest with big names such as Root, Stokes & Archer not in the squad. Liam Livingstone looks like a great long term prospect.

Guys what are your picks for semis? England and Pakistan are through. I think NZ and South Africa might be the other two.

I disagree, Australia has 2 very easy matchups vs West Indies and Bangladesh while South Africa have a huge mountain to climb against the flawless England. I think Australia takes the second spot over South Africa (it hurts because South Africa is my favorite team, them or Pakistan).

In terms of group B, I think New Zealand takes that second spot like you said. India fucked up pretty bad by losing the first 2 games and Afghanistan still isnt up there with the big teams yet. They already lost to India and will likely lose to New Zealand and if that happens then New Zealand makes the 2nd round. If Afghanistan beats New Zealand, their NRR I think would be high enough to make it pass India even if India absolutely destroys Namibia and Scotland but I doubt it would happen.

The craziest scenario would be if Namibia or Scotland beat New Zealand or India and threw a rench in this whole thing.

South Africa very unlucky not to have made it to be honest. Performed very admirably. If anything, they can blame BD for pretty much no-showing against Australia.

I'm such a huge fan of Anrich Nortje at the moment.

Ridiculous capitulation from England. Jason Roy was a big loss, as you figure we’d have scored another 15-20 with him there, but we should still have won from that position. Good luck to NZ in the final.

Match was on a bit too late for me to watch last night, so will be checking out the highlights when I can. Tough pill for England to swallow there, but I'm sure any Englishman will still take the 2019 CWC win over this any day.

NZ getting 57 off the last four overs is massive.

Also they didn't chase the target quickly against Bangladesh.

Absolutely brutal pinch hitting by Wade and Stoinis in the last few overs. Congratulations Australia!!
Now we will have a new champion.

Hello I think towards the end Pakistan’s bowlers were wayward if they had been conservative toward the end it could have been different story. Also in 20/20 games batting 2nd is better, you have a target and the pressure is on the fielding team.

That can be true, but at the same time scoreboard pressure can do funny things to the team chasing. Though, I would say that in this tournament batting first has the advantage as these UAE pitches seem to get slower & slower as the match goes on.
