The fact that last night's Royal Rumble went down EVEN WORSE than the 2014 Rumble, despite the fact that 2014 went down like a lead balloon, got me thinking. What would have happened had Batista been a surprise entrant?

Let's be honest, the enormous heat Reigns got indicated one thing; aside from Big Show and Kane, it sort of became an "anyone but Reigns" mentality, with the only people getting cheered (apart from Mizdow) were those that could have potentially snatched the win away from him.

So had some no chancer (like Fandango or Zack Ryder) had been replaced and everyone else pushed up in the order (so Big Show #28 , Ziggler #29 ), with Batista coming in at #30 , do you guys reckon he'd have gotten a positive reaction, despite everything that went down last year?

yes

The general perception of Batista improved a lot in the last year. His holywood success is one reason, but also the way he handled himself last year.

Crowd would have popped for him

Batista to return for his retirement match at 32 (hopefully) will to be a good reception. Deservedly so, that being said.

Yes! He would have got cheered cause people liked him in Guardians! Marvel saved his ass by giving him that role, for sure
