As mentioned earlier on the site, Hulk Hogan was not at the Victory Road PPV on Sunday or the Impact taping last night. A story being floated around by the Hogan came was that it was due to back surgery. Apparently, it's hard to travel an hour to Orlando. I wonder how he is able to fly to British Columbia and hang out with his pals this Sunday then.

The following Press Release was sent out yesterday:

Media Advisory - Hulk Hogan and Friends Headline the 4th Annual Boulevard 500 Hot Rods & Bikes Show 'N' Shine - Sunday, July 18 @ Boulevard Casino, Coquitlam BC

COQUITLAM, BC, July 12 /CNW/ - The Boulevard Casino is proud to announce that the world famous, professional wrestler - Terry Gene Bollea - better known as "Hulk Hogan" will headline the fourth annual Boulevard Show 'N' Shine on Sunday, July 18 at the Boulevard Casino.

The public will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to have a professional free photo taken with Hogan and his fellow wrestlers Jimmy Hart, Brutus Beefcake, Greg Valentine, Brian Knobbs, Honky Tonk Man, Hillbilly Jim and The Nasty Boys' Jerry Sags. The wrestling stars will be on site to meet and greet guests from noon - 2pm.

This is the fourth year that Boulevard Casino and Barnes Harley-Davidson(R) have partnered to host the annual Boulevard 500 Show 'N' Shine. On this special day, the parking lot of the Boulevard Casino comes alive with car classics of all sizes, shapes and colours, and people flock by the thousands to relieve memories and appreciate the care and detail that has been put into this amazing collection of automotive history.

"In the past couple of years, the Boulevard 500 Show 'N' Shine has won the prestigious Romero Award for being an Outstanding Community Event and we hope that this year's event will reach a new milestone," said Howard Blank, Vice President, Communications, Entertainment and Responsible Gambling for the Great Canadian Gaming Corporation. All proceeds from the event will be donated to SHARE Family and Community Services and Variety, The Children's Charity.

The Boulevard 500 Show 'N' Shine isn't just a car show as this event includes a showcase of motorcycles. At this show, you will also see a diverse gathering of stock and custom bikes that range from mild to wild! "We expect to see a wide variety of American and Metric bikes in the show ranging from choppers, customs, cruisers, touring bikes, vintage bikes, sports bikes, rat bikes, drag bikes and scooters. This is an opportunity to see someone's pride and joy and watch as the bikes and their owners compete for fame, glory and trophies," said Greg Barnes, an avid collector and restorer of vintage and classic cars, Owner of Barnes Wheaton GM and Barnes Harley-Davidson(R) Buell in Langley and in Port Coquitlam.

This is a community event and there is something for everyone in the family - a pancake breakfast, sizzling BBQ, Harley-Davidson(R) Fashion Show, Live Entertainment, a carnival in the Red Robinson Theatre, and the opportunity to win exciting prizes! Bro Jake from ROCK 101 will also be on-site along with a number of other celebrities.

Further making me doubt the line that "Hulk Hogan hasn't been to work at TNA due to back surgery" that has been floating around, in addition to heading to Canada, he will be in Chicago this weekend selling interviews at the Fan's Edge Sport's Spectacular. Isn't it funny that his back can handle the rigors of air travel for paydays but it can't take a 1 hour drive in a car? ... Thanks to Ryan Capps for sending that along.

Honky Tonk Man? Wasn't that guy slating Hogan a few months ago?

In any event, I want Hogan gone. I like his TV character but he's not worth the money any more. Any positive impact that he would have had would have been instant, and sadly there was none (well, there was, but TNA didn't capitalise on it).

In any event, with regards to the story - this thing with all his pals was a week after Victory Road. His back could have improved in those 7 days.

Hogan's useless now. He almost never plugs the company, he has the worst eye for what talent to push, he can't take a bump and he's the only guy in the company TNA actually advertises and his name doesn't draw anymore. Even his mic skill is gone which is surprising because other veterans like Flair and Nash are still as great as ever on the mic. The only good thing he's done was bring in RVD, Hardy and Anderson but if he left I'm sure atleast Hardy and Anderson would stay.

yeah when is contract expires in 3 months I say don't resign him. I love Hogan I have always been a Hulkamaniac. I remember how happy I was when he first showed up.

Now its just like, yeah he hasn't been horrible but he really hasn't done anything for the company. A failed monday night run, turning Abyss' long time Internet fans against him...I mean look at the hate for Abyss on here. Besides that what? he can't work matches

The ECW angle really doesn't involve him.

We have 3 Months to wrap it up with Sting and "them". I hope it all winds up with Hogan as a heel for the last few months and his team losing a loser leaves TNA match against Stings at BFG or something. Plus I think that would be a really good way to cap the angle.

It said back surgery. I had outpatient surgery a week ago, and I can still barely move at 100%. No way he'd be better in 7 days to fly.

If all of that is true, then I'm looking forward to it. Is this from a dirtsheet, BTW?

He never cared abut TNA, he just used them to get involved with Spike TV.

All he really did was an ego driven Monday Night War and an ego driven push of Abyss.

Nobody gives a shit about TNA. Have you guys learn that by now. Most guys there is just collecting a paycheck. I laugh every time when Sting says he trying to help TNA, he sure do love signing one year contracts bigger than AJ Styles/Samoa Joe contracts combine. Same thing with Angle, he books his own stuff which is why he going through the top 10 with ease, held the title longer than anyone,he never really put over someone because he always get revenge in the end.

Then there's Jeff Jarrett, the only reason he created TNA because WWE blackballed his ass on national tv. He try to get WWA on a national stage before eventually creating TNA.

Sacrifice for what? TNA? Are you serious? Don't get mad at Hogan for getting easy money. Do you guys really think Bischoff(who got like 8 different projects) and Hogan(who has a ton of appearances) really have time to run a wrestling promotion? I said this when they first signed.

well don't bash eric for tna management not giving him the power to make another wcw. as for hogan well its all true. he got a free ride with tna and he needed the money after big losses from his wife and doughter. they thought his name would draw and it did but tna like they did with eric didn't do anything with it.

its sad i have to agree release him. he has no talent left on tv or even working backstage. his eye for talent is dated hes mic skills are gone he can only draw for the short term. so not even a off air job would suit him.

personalty seeing him on tv these days is just depressing.

Greg is a legend, his story is sad though. The Wrestler was loosely based off him in my personal opinion.

This guy main evented MSG so many times it's crazy. His dad was better though.
