How would you have booked the Undertaker/Triple H match?

So that it seemed plausible that Triple H would beat him because at the minute noone believes HHH is going to beat him.

To start with I would have leaked false rumours that Undertaker had pissed off some of the WWE hierarchy and he was out of favour and WM 27 was going to be his last match so it was plausible that HHH might win.

Then when Undertaker made his return instead of Triple H coming out and them making super angry faces at each other I would put undertaker in a match with Kane and have him beat Kane convincingly making us all realise he was truly back.Triple H would then come out and gave him the beating that Sheamus and DiBiase received. Then Triple H would stand over him and point to the WM sign. Simples

Undertaker makes his big return, and HHH comes out as he did, and they have their staredown. However, Taker goes to leave the ring first when HHH attacks him, grabs his sledgehammer and knocks Taker about before using the pedigree on him. Make it a hatred rivalry rather than a respect one. And we all know Triple H works best as a heel.
Honestly, I would have shown triple H talking to Barrett in a backstage segment on his return about the buried alive match , and reveal it was HHH's idea for Nexus to do it (because of him retiring Micheals) and he would help them in return.

Thats it.

You then have a valid reason for the feud, and it would develop naturally from there.

The biggest problem with this one as it is now is there is no reason for it, so they are spending the whole build trying to invent a reason, instead of developing the match itself.

i would have involved HBK alot in HHH's promos, and HHH should have said alot that he has a higher chance of beating Taker then HBK did, and Hunter should have said he is the biggest threat not HBK. Undertaker should have interrupted him and said he respects HBK more and thinks no one will even be a bigger threat then he was, not even you HHH, HHH gets a little frustrated by what he hears and then he kicks Undertaker in the crouch, before nailing him with the pedigree through the announce table.
Have it emerge that the Corre is actually part of a shadowy stable composed of those people who Undertaker beat at Wrestlemania.
Over the years, they'd united and exchanged plans about how to beat him and are now taking a more active role in things.
A heel stable of HHH, Nash, Michaels, Big Show, Mark Henry and Edge would be brilliant.

I like the idea of them posistioning Wade Barrett as the perfect person to beat Undertaker at the big 20-0 match.
I wouldn't.
This.

And there is NO WAY to book Triple H, and no rumor that is strong enough to make any intelligent person believe that Taker is going to lose. It can't be done, most people will not accept it as plausible because that's how much the Streak has been built up.
So your plan would to be to book it towards the very small margin of wrestling fans that check the internet to see rumors and try to swerve them? Has Vince Russo come to this forum?

I would book it basically how they've been booking it, but with a reason like stated before.
Shawn Michaels as referee with Triple H's career on the line is the only way it seemed plausible Triple H could win. But I still wouldn't have done it.
Have HHH come out and beat the living fucking shit out of Taker with a sledgehammer. Why? Because he retired his best friend and for the lulz.

The "we are two legends and blah blah blah is nice, but not enough considering there's people who I'd rather Taker to feud with than HHH.

If you are gonna waste this WM, at least give us a memorable build up, not a piece of garbage like the one we are having.
I wouldn't.
Who would you have challenge Taker at Mania this year, if not Taker?

But I also would not book it, because I'd royally fuck it up.
I like the idea of HHH being the one behind Nexus/Corre helping Kane bury Undertaker. That's something. Like it's been said, heel HHH is a lot more entertaining than this boring one.
I wouldn't.
Agreed.

That wouldn't really help, Brian Alvarez and Lance Storm on Figure Four made the point that were HBK involved everyone would be waiting for him to do whatever he was there to do which would render everything that came before pointless.
HHH as the evil heel that is pissed 'Taker retired his best friend HBK. Simple as that. This cookie cutter face versus face feud is lame.
honestly, i wouldn't change a thing so far. as for the match itself, i see one of two if not both things happening at the end. 1) taker and hhh shake/embrace after the match. 2) they end up putting on an incredible match(especially given takers health) and the entire roster comes out to applaud them. the ultimate sign of respect for two legends. taker wins, but i think hhh will have the match won but the ref will be down or something. i don't think shawn will have any part in the match. it isn't really needed. like someone said, it would just take away from the match itself.
Here's how I would have booked it...

Triple H/Sheamus in a hardcore grudge match and Barrett/Undertaker in a No Holds Barred.

Better match quality, better feud quality, tons of opportunity for build.

Nobody would care, nonsense. Orton/Undertaker is one of the better Undertaker 'Manias.

Triple H/Sheamus have so much unfinished business and I am not satisfied with a Pedigree on free T.V. Triple H/Sheamus should have been an old school No Holds Barred Hardcore match.
Blood? YES. Sheamus and Triple H have almost ruined each other's careers. They have both been wrestling for over 10 years and shouldn't be afraid to blade.

Barrett, or... *pause for effect*... Sting

No one is afraid to blade. There is no more blood in WWE programming for oh the last 3 years or so if you've been watching.

I don't think Barrett vs Taker looks like it would draw as much as HHH/Taker, and Barrett is much less of a threat to the Streak than HHH is.
I wouldn't.
This.

It's not supposed to be criticism about this year's whole WrestleMania, but concerning the 'Taker match I honestly believe that HHH was one of the worst possible choices. That's because of various reasons, but I won't go in depth --> Off Topic.
