Trap door. They panned to the ring so as to detract from the fact that the casket likely jiggled a bit as he entered.

Under the ring, he was probably in the casket, went under the ring, then went back in. Just a guess, but it seems that way. Or he was under the ring to begin with and got in the casket after.

He was in the casket to begin with, the druids rolled it down to the ring, he got out the trap door at the side and went under the ring and came back in the same way.

I thought the bottom of the casket looked weird when Brock opened it, and one of the early camera cuts caught the ring apron mysteriously moving.

The casket appeared deep enough that he was probably just at the bottom with a trap door above him to look like it was empty. Then he moved to the top after it was closed again.

That's my guess anyway.

Yeah the ring aapron was shaky, the camera accidentally cut to it so you could see something was happening.
