How much are wrestling heights exaggerated?

Shawn Michaels isn't 6 foot, Triple H probably isn't 6'4 either, but how much do WWE exaggerate wrestler's heights? If I was going into WWE 6'2 what would they bill me as? How many inches do they add?

Undertaker /Kane / Sid Vicious should be like 6'7 or 6'8

Kevin Nash / Nathan Jones -- 6'10

BigShow - 6'11 or may be 7'0

It seems like weight where the add the most height seems honest in a lot of cases, but if you're like 5 ft. 9 or more they'll add a few inches to make you 6 feet. They only say you're under that if you're really short, and you're supposed to be. None of the big men are really 7 feet tall. More like 6'10

How about exaggerating weight? They announced JTG as weighing 235 pounds..

CM Punk's billed height is 6 ft 2 in and John Cena's billed height is 6 ft 1 in, yet last night, in a backstage segment, Cena was clearly taller than Punk. They probably add quite a few inches, especially to smaller wrestlers.

Wow I didn't realise they billed Punk as being 6'2, that's just not plausible really, he can't be any taller than 6 foot even with his wrestling boots on. I think Cena's 6'1 is probably legit if wearing boots

some guys are close (randy orton i believe is a legit tall guy), so they may only add an inch or so, others are exaggerated much more (like the guys already mentioned). as far as weight, i think thats where they REALLY push it. i mean, as lean as these guys are, a sub 6 footer at 220 would usually be REALLY big (although everyones different, and ive seen guys with huge legs at those heights/weights that dont look all that big).

but, say, batista in his original run at 6'6 315 is absurd. they added about 3-4 inches (people ive known who met him/took pics who are about 6'2 were just about the same heigh he was) and probably 30+ lbs. when he was being billed at 290 he mentioned on a radio show that he weighed 260.... which.... as lean as he was... is still enormous.

It depends who it is. If it's a short guy like Jericho, they're going to say he is 6' even though he so clearly isn't. Some guys like Edge and Orton are genuinely their billed heights, give or take an inch at most. And then the giants are usually exaggerated, although tbh, saying Khali is 7'4" isn't even a hard sell.

They usually add a 2-3in to most wrestlers.

They bill Shawn as 6'1, but Shawn is a tad bit shorter than Cena who is the same height. Shawn is most likely 5'10 or 5'11 in RL. Jericho is build as 6'0, but Jericho is clearly not that tall when you see him in person, Jericho in RL is probably a legit 5'9 or 5'10.

Kane's height is forever fluctuating because in the late 90's he was considerably taller than Undertaker, than in 2003 he was shorter than Taker by a good inch or 2(Royal Rumble 2003) and at RAW 1000 Kane looked about 2 or 3in taller than Taker again.

Triple H is no 6'4 probably 6'2 seeing how Orton( who I believe is a legit 6'4) was taller than him.

Rock height is billed as 6'5 but he looked a tad bit shorter than Orton, when those two had their confrontation in 2003.

If Lesner really is 6'3 as stated by another user above than Rock being 6'4 or a very weak 6'5 could be true. Looking at pictures of them together outside of the ring shows Rock an inch or so taller.

It can be 2-4 inches. Jericho is shorter than I am and I'm 5'11", without his lifts he's probably 5'10" or 5'9". Triple H is probably 6'2", and there's plenty of others. Randy Orton looks like a legit 6'4" though.

yeah, i dont think edge or orton are exaggerated much at all. the skinnier tall guys probably arent really exaggerated bc then no one would believe the weight they'd have to exaggerate them at. like, no one is gonna believe edge is 6'6 260, but a 6'4 240 is believable, although hes probably like 6'3.5-6'4 225.

the rock is another who probably isnt exaggerated. i feel like theres that middle ground around 6'3-6'5 where they obviously arent much taller, so they dont bill them as such. im 6'2.5 without shoes, and a lot of other fans are decently tall, so you cant go telling me that someone like triple h is like 6'6 or something, but people on the taller end are gonna have 99% of people looking up at them in person anyway, so they can get away with it. if a 6'7 undertaker walked up to me, you could tell me he's 6'10 and id say 'yeah, pretty damn close'... on the other hand, these guys are supposed to be 'larger than life', so when you're 5'2, they're going to make you the 5'6 underdog, haha. if youre not OBVIOUSLY short, i'd say they'll go with a 6'0 minimum (jericho, etc).

also, did hbk lose a couple of inches with back surgery like hogan supposedly did? at his HOF induction triple h joked saying '6 foot 2 225 lb shawn michaels, although we all know hes about 5'10 185 lbs' or something like that. he just seems to look shorter nowadays standing next to guys like triple h than he did pre-back injury.

Del Rio is a legit 6ft5. In MMA he was weighing in supposedly 30lbs lighter than now, he does look bigger now but realistically 10lbs heavier...?

Lots of guys get billed over 200lbs who probably just aren't. I have a similar build to punk (sadly) at 6ft5 and his billed weight is my actual weight.

They usually range from being correct, to up to over 5 inches too tall. Incredibly inconsistent.

Hogan 6-2
Taker - 6-7
Kane - 6-7, if not a shade less
Punk - 5-11
Austin - 6'1
Rock - 6'1.5
Cena 6-0.5
Rey - 5'2
Big Show - 6'11
Trips - 6'1
Foley - 6'1
Orton - 6'3
Bryan - 5'7
Big John Studd - 6'5.5
Edge - 6'3
Batista - 6'2

Names from the top of my head, those heights are considerably different from what the WWE build em as.

depends on the wrestler, there is no set exaggeration, some wrestlers are billed inches taller and some are billed at their correct height

e.g kurt angle was billed 6'2 in wwe (even though he was listed 180cm or 5'10 1/2 in the olympics) and cena is billed 6'1 which is the same as he was listed in football

cenas easily 3 inches taller at 7min 15second mark

kane and big show are both listed 7ft, when its pretty obvious kane is nowhere near as tall

for the guy that said big show is nowhere near 500lb, at one time ie late 2006 he sure was, toady probably 390-400lb is his weight, lashly is bigger here than when he fights in mma at 260lb
