Last time WWE did a tournament like this, it was back in 1998 at the Deadly Game Tournament. That PPV had 12 MATCHES for the entire tournament. Not to mention they also had a womens title match and tag team title match. Granted some of those matches were very short but that's still A LOT of matches on the card.
How many matches do you see WWE doing on this new tournament? Because they have a smaller roster, and they usually allow more time for matches, I can only see them doing 4 quarter finals matches, 2 semi finals and a final adding up to 7 matches.
Add the survivor Series match with Wyatts v brothers of destruction team and the divas title match, you've got yourself 9 matches which I think is pretty doable for WWE today. They'll probably put one of the matches on the pre-show too.
