How I think the X Cups should be done

I think many of us would agree that the World X and Super X cups were one of TNA's greatest, most original ideas(surprised they're gone?). The whole concept of having a World Cup like tourney to me was very intriguing, and honestly if promoted and booked well it could have very well rivaled the WWE in terms of gimmicked themed events.

While the X Cups featured have been very good, I felt the rules and how it was set up were pretty rough around the edges and needed some tweaks. It took me only about 40 minutes to think of how both World X and Super X cups should be done. If some random Joe Schmo like me could think of this in 40 minutes, I don't see why the buffoons in TNA can't think of something better.

TNA SUPER X CUP -Tournement will consist of 12 wrestlers. Most from the TNA roster, some from around the world.

Round One: 3 Way Matches -Winners of each match are automatically qualified in the Tourney.

Match 1: W1 vs W2 vs W3
Match 2: W4 vs W5 vs W6
Match 3: W7 vs W8 vs W9
Match 4: W10 vs W11 vs W12

Round Two: 1 vs 1 Best 2 of 3 Falls Matches -Qualification matches for the last 4 spots in the Tourney. Winners from Round One sitout this round.

(Hypothetically if W3, W6, W9, and W12 won the First Round)

Match 1: W1 vs W2
Match 2: W4 vs W5
Match 3: W7 vs W8
Match 4: W10 vs W11

TOURNEY BEGINS -Bracket System is now used

(Hypothetically if W2, W5, W8, and W11 won the Second Round)

(Hypothetically if W11 and W5 won all their matches)

FINAL MATCH: 1 vs 1 Ultimate X -Ultimate X Match between the Final Two Wrestlers for the X-Division World Title

W11 vs W5

WINNER: Wrestler who wins wins the TNA World X-Division Title, A Super X World Cup, and a $10,000 dollar cash prize(Kayfabe).

TNA WORLD X CUP -Tournement will consist of 4 Teams, 3 Wrestlers for each team 1 of them being Captain. This Cup will contain a Point System.

Teams Invovled: Team TNA, Team Japan, Team Mexico, Team International

Round One: 2 vs 2 Tag-Team Matches(1 Point)

Team TNA vs Team Japan
Team Mexico vs Team International
Team Japan vs Team Mexico
Team International vs Team TNA
Team TNA vs Team Mexico
Team Japan vs Team International

Round Two: 1 vs 1 Single Matches (3 Points)

Team TNA vs Team Japan
Team Mexico vs Team International
Team Japan vs Team Mexico
Team International vs Team TNA
Team TNA vs Team Mexico
Team Japan vs Team International

Round Three: 3 vs 3 Team vs Team Matches(8 Points) -1st Place Team fights 4th Place Team. 2nd Place Team fights 3rd Place Team.

1st Place vs 4th Place
2nd Place vs 3rd Place

FINAL ROUND: 4 Way Ultimate X between Captains only -4th and 3rd Place Captains start out in the ring. 2nd Place Captain comes in after 5 minutes and 1st Place comes in after another 5 minutes. Captain's may be eliminated through pinfall while X is inactive. Once First Place Captain arrives, X becomes active and elimination rule no longer applys

4th Place vs 3rd Place(X in-active. Elimination Pinfall applys.)
5 minutes
2nd Place(X still in-active. Elimination Pinfall still applys.)
5 minutes
1st Place(X is active. Elimination Pinfall no longer applys.)

WINNER: Team who wins gets the TNA World X Cup, a $30,000 dollar cash prize(Kayfabe), and the Captain receives a TNA X-Division Title Shot at the next PPV.

So there you go. The Super X Cup has a total of 15 matches and The World X Cup has a total of 14 matches. Each Cup could start in the beginning of May, continue all the way till the beginning of June and end at Destination X. I'd have the Super X Cup every 2 years and the World X Cup every 2 years in between just like they use to be.

Anyway feel free to like it, dislike it, or post your own.

The World X-Cup seems fine with the exception of the scramble Ultimate X rules, but the Super X Cup seems too much like the Fight For The Right disaster that TNA had in 06 & 07. Just a regular 16-man tournament would do for that, you'd about the same number of matches without the confusing rules. And you could throw in a loser's tag for Destination X with the best of the rest as a opener if you wanted.

I added that because the points need to have a purpose and give the team with the most some type of advantage. What would be the point in trying to win the First, Second, and Third round matches if the captain's are gonna all qualify equally in the end anyway? That's all I was thinking when I watched the X cup in 08.

Your right and I completely forgot about that. I eliminated the battle royal part.
Nice idea. You can e-mail it to TNA btw.
I would like to see the World X Cup back and considering that Destination X got moved to avoid the road to Lockdown, this would work out fine.

I could've swore I read somewhere that they were bringing back the X cup this year. Maybe it was a bullshit rumor.
I would honestly like the World X Cup to just be a tournament of Inter-promotional dream matches that with the semi finals and finals being held on PPV. A 16 man tournament would make me happy. 8 TNA guys and 8 guys from 'around the world'.

Aerostar, Sugi, Kota Ibushi, and Jack Evans would be awesome choices to bring in. There would have to be another 4 wrestlers outside of TNA employment that would need to be apart of the tournament in order to make it worth a damn. Toss in TNA favorites like: Kazarian, Desmond Wolfe, Douglas Williams, Alex Shelley, Brian Kendrick, and Samoa Joe
