As far as WWE Creative will push him (which sadly probably won't be any further then the mid-card).

He was a top heel when he was the leader of Nexus. No reason he can't return to that again.

Pretty far considering he's gone from the UK all the way over to America ha

Nah seriously though, he's got the talent and the look to go far and do great things, and he is also real good on the mic too, he's getting stronger as a character every time and he's put on some of the BEST matches in a long time on the weekly shows with Ziggler and Sheamus.

Sadly I think if this push fails I think thats it for him in terms of getting a legit run. They have tried and tried and tried with the guy and nothing seems to stick.
I think with Barrett they've not really seen his push out to it's full potential before due to injury and what not, it seems the WWE have had belief in him (which is great!) but for various reasons, out of their control the push that he's been on the verge of has often stopped it's momentum due to things such as injury etc..

I mean Barrett was booked to win the 'Money In The Bank' briefcase before his injury, which went to Ziggler instead ... a great choice of course, but Barrett's been deserving of this push for a while and I hope that the WWE get completely behind this, which it seems that so far they have been.

His character has been developing and had time spent on it for a while, they put a lot into this 'Bad News Barrett' character from the JBL and Cole show, to the TV and now into the ring, it seems they're putting quite a bit into this gimmick and it's awesome!

I've got some BIG news!

I always thought "Big" was the funniest wrestling nickname. "Big" Rob Terry, or just "Big" to his friends.

I've said it previously, i'm surprised this BNB thing has taken off because all his "I'm afraid i have some bad news" promos were really weak imo.

I really like Wade though. As you say OP he has it all more or less, a great all rounder but i am stunned it has taken off like it has.

I still don't think he will got a shot at competing for the main belt never mind winning it.

I don't want to jump on the BNB bandwagon but now he's actually wrestling again then the gimmick is growing on me.

I think this took off mostly because the WWE's face roster is so weak. The crowd finds someone like Barrett naturally more enjoyable, since he has over the top antics. His match with Sheamus was really good, MOTN easily. So it went to show that he wasn't just over in front of smark crowds. He's in a good spot right now, and what he needs to do is keep cutting those cheap heat promos where he turns their cheers into boos.

It's like when rapper Cena was getting pops, he'd come out and freestyle about how much the city they were in sucks to turn it into nuclear heat.

"I'm afraid I've got some bad news" has become really annoying, stale, and predictable. They need to stick to him doing it as an occasional promo instead of every time he's entering the ring for a match.

I'm a big fan of Barrett and i'm really enjoying the BNB gimmick. I'm not sure if he will win the WWE WHC, but I think he could be a solid upper midcarder/occasional main eventer.

I love Barrett. The sad reality is he will get a push as far winning IC title at some stage, drop the belt then fade back into the shadows again. Rinse and repeat. He will never be in main event picture.

I hope i am massively wrong though!

Upper-midcard heel.

I don't think he'll ever win the title if they don't split them back up, but they could (and should) build the IC title around Sheamus/Barrett/Cesaro/Rollins like they built it so many times around Jericho/Christian/RVD/Edge.
