I really exptected more from Hogan than his crappy speech at the beginning and the WM1-Segment later. I mean I have the feeling that Rock had more time to speak than Hogan!!!???
Also I would have loved to see Hogan handing out the Andre-Trophy to Cesaro, creating more momentum that way. What are your thoughts about this?

Crappy speech at the beginning? His segment with Rock and Austin was one of the highlights of the show.

They didn't need much from Hogan. Announcing he was the host of WrestleMania was really just a way to get him on the show. Most of the time was saved for the talents. Some people are talking this could be one of the best WrestleMania's ever, so it really didn't matter.

I am amazed it's even a discussion that sometimes people misspeak and then correct themselves, followed by good natured ribbing from buddies. It was planned? Seriously?

Between that and people still talking about Sting and Taker fighting NEXT YEAR for an AARP Membership On A Shoulder Height Pole match, I'm getting pretty worried.

You're crazy.

Hogan's role was perfect.

It served to hype everyone up for the show, and did it in a masterful way.

It was great to see him start the segment, but also get the last word in after Rock and Austin.

I didn't watch it live so I've no idea what he said. I also fast forwarded the segments with the "surprise" legends that we see all the time so no idea what they said either. I just assumed it was all going to be self congratulatory.

Are those bits worth watching

The opening segment was great, but the whole host thing is bullshit anyway. When The Rock hosted Mania it was heavily hyped beforehand and he didn't do much until the very end when he screwed Cena. It's just a cheesy gimmick to hopefully get a few more buys.

I still think they missed an opportunity with having Hogan back Cena against the Wyatt Family. Using him as just a Network promo guy is lame and already getting repetitive and played out. Hogan's at his best when he's part of a story that he can sink his teeth into, not trying to remember lines and plug something. Cena would have lead the promo department anyway, Hogan really would have been there from an iconic, supportive standpoint. Cena is the modern day Hogan and I thought more would have been done with that.

Opening segment was great, and quite frankly I wouldn't have wanted to see more of Hogan than we did anyway.

Couldn't help but laugh in the Hogan/Piper/Orndorff/Mr. T segment when Piper said Hogan was doing a great job as host, when all he had done was come out at the start of the show and mess up.
