Austin could probably still go, but Hogan is older than my grandparents who are dead.
I don’t want to see either. It’s even worse when it’s vs a young guy … and they go over. I hated seeing Austin go over KO.

I saw the mighty hulkster live vs flair on the hulkamania tour. Poor old bloke had to lean at a sixty degree angle against the turn buckle to get his foot up, so flair could run into the big boot. Didnt even try the leg drop. And that was over ten years ago. It was good because that’s the only time I ever got to see them live, but that’s about it.

But like I said, if he wants to shuffle around a ring and throw a punch, good luck to him.

But that match with flair and andrade … nothing like that. That was uncomfortable to watch.

You really think Hogan could do better at this stage of his career?

Hogan vs Flair in a 60 minute iron man match 🤣
Yeah, that doesn’t work for me brother.

Austin says no. He doesn’t want to lose to hogan.

So hogan looks at reigns and BOOM, takes those belts off him. Instantly retires on a high, gives one belt to McIntyre on raw and gives the other belt to Lashley on Smackdown.

Balance has been restored.

Christ, hogan is a Jedi!!!!

It's a shame these people never pushed for their dream match when they could deliver and now Hogan say this, 20 years too late. Steve Austin seems to be a rather sensible guy and he wouldn't accept performing in such an obvious trainwreck. Taker and his matches with Cena (this one maybe could've been good though), Golberg and the one we never got with Sting show that things have their right time.
Hogan can barely move, he in worse shape than Flair, no matter how safe you work with the Hulkster, you risk injuring hulk, possibly putting him 6 feet under. Hk hoga had a a legendary career, the icon of wwe of the 80s, started the wrestling boom of the 80s, played a role in revivovmg wrestling in the 90s, won world titles and hea heavyweight titles in every company he been in, got inducted in the hall of fame twice, starred in some movies, has his business, headlined 9 wrestlemanias in a row, etc

What more is there for Hogan to accomplish, I'll say these old timers be it Ric Flair, or Jerry lawler, or living Rock N Roll Express members or living midnight Express members or Sting , bow even Hulkster just dont want to to let it go and must love as actually being between those ropes.
Yep kids actually think age does not matter. It does, wrestlers in their 60's can still kind of go, but you cannot seriously push a 70 year old Hogan.

Smaller guys that avoid critical injuries yes. Lou Thesz, Jerry Lawler, and Terry Funk. When you’re like 6’6 (Now like 6’1 or 6’2) and lifted heavy weights your entire life on top of constantly picking up guys that are 350+ pounds, you probably are gonna be struggling after your 50s.

So we expect Hogan to hobble to the ring to take a stunner from Austin?

I mean seriously.

Are you off your marbles?

Hogan at age 70 cuts a promo. Last time he was in the ring it was embarrassing.

Austin has stayed in decent shape. So the Hulk Hogan we all remember shows up for a PPV. He's ten years older than his 60 year old self. But for whatever reason he is booked against a 50 year old Austin who is younger, healthier, and still viable.
No we don't. Why does it have to be Austin going over giving a stunner to Hogan? Why can't Austin take a big boot and leg drop and put Hogan over as truly being immortal and still able to win a match? Fuck that dumb ******* Austin.
Been there done that. 10 years too late.

I think most humans know Hogan is like 70 and will not fall for this.

This is not going to turn out like you want, on any level.

Just sayin.
For sure! I was just naming the best scenarios. Realistically it will be a forgotten moment with a boost in ratings only for the week after and might achieve a couple pops from the crowd.

I’m not hoping for it to happen but I still think a legends title idea would be cool.
If Austin didnt hang it up in 2003, either 2004 or 2005 for wrestlemania would be amazing, 2004 proabably would if been better imagine Hogan vs Austin in MSG with Vince McMahon as guest referee, but Austin vs Hogan in 2024, that wont work for us brother.

Not sure if Hogan's body can even handle a leg drop nowadays. Don't believe he has even done one since that match he had with Big Show in Memphis around 2007 or so. Even then, he could barely get off the ground for it.

His hip bone could very well end up in the second row.
Look, I get that Hogan vs. Austin the ultimate WWF/E Dream Match, but we are WAY too late for that.

If Hogan is going to do anything, it should be a Tag match where his partners do most of the work. He can't do the legdrop or much of anything else without risking severe injury. Look at his match with Sting at Bound for Glory 2011. It was great spectacle and they made it work, and Sting worked around Hogan very well, but Hogan could barely do anything, and that was over a decade ago.

As for Austin, that match with Owens was about as good as you are going to get out of him at this point. The amount of bumps he takes have to be limited and very protected or else he risks severe injury as well. In their final PPV matches, Hogan worked with a guy that was older, true, but could also work around him and work the crowd reaction to hide the weaknesses, and Austin worked with a guy that could bump around for him and work a safe No DQ match to hide Austin's weaknesses.

You can't take two very limited and way over the hill guys and put them against each other. That isn't going to work.
