Who agrees that Hiroshi Hase is the most underrated Japanese wrestler of all time? I re-watched his New Japan stuff (tags with KENSKAY and Mutoh) recently, but the real gold mine of Hase is his All Japan work. His matches against Kobashi, Kawada, Akiyama, etc. are great examples of his fantastic talent. And let me tell you this, I enjoy watching Hase more than Taue, Kawada and Akiyama. Yeah! The master of uranage!

I only know of Hase as the guy who made Muta piss out a shed ton of blood. What AJPW matches do you recommend from him?

Hase was 10x as talented as Muto ever was, his legacy like antonio said was being the Japanese Owen Hart, the under looked under appreciated workhorse.

I don't think Hase was better than Kawada by any means.
Maybe not, but I definitely enjoy watching Hase more.

True.

For example:
vs. Kobashi (8/26/1997)
vs. Kawada (5/2/1999)
vs. Akiyama (5/1/1998)

And, of course, his New Japan stuff with Fujinami, Hashimoto, Liger...
