H = 4.00m - WrestleMania 1987
L = 0.09m - ECW December to Dismember

RAW
In reality its viewership is exactly the same as 10 years ago, but because of how the cable industry has changed, its rating share has decreased - those that think wrestling has been in decline for 10 years are wrong,
H = 8.1 rating - May 10th, 1999
L = 1.8 rating - October 14th, 1996 (excludes 1993 and 1994)

SmackDown
See above note for cable viewership.
H = 5.8 rating - debut
L = 1.0 rating - September 8th and 15th, 2006, pre-empted due to Hurricane Katrina

That's because the WWE has always been known by everybody, TNA are still practically an unknown brand in the mainstream.

Not really, because you're forgetting about WCW and ECW viewers. There were over 10million viewers watching wrestling during the attitude era. Now it's just 5. This is what people mean when they say wrestling is in a decline. WWE itself, is not declining in any way. In fact, they are making more money than ever before.

Oh I agree, just that people tend to exaggerate the decline quite a bit.

How much of WCW/ECWs audience watched WWE too though?

So in reality, I really see the amount of people in USA who watched wrestling back then being around 7-8M, 5M now is less, but I'm sure WWE would rather have 5M people and make more money than if they had 7M people and made less.

Lots of people still buy ppvs despite what people might believe.

WM26 got about a 2.2 buyrate number which would place it as the 15th highest WM in terms of buys(8th highest in 17 years)

People act like nobody watched wrestling, if that's the case, how come wrestlers appear all over the place on so many commercials and stuff(not even nba,nfl,nhl,mlb have had a promotion in stores like wwe does with 7/11). Those did you know facts are annoying, but it is true. WWE gets more viewers in USA than many channels such as ESPN and have much more followers online than all sports companies.

WWE is still doing better than the few years before the attitude era and WM even did better this year than it did in 1997(the ppv that featured bret vs austin). Ratings have changed too, I believe I read somewhere that the amount of viewers that watched Raw 10 years ago was like 6M or something(so the rating wwe got, multiply it by 1M and that's the rating), so its not that much of a drop looking at that fact too
