The main event of WM 2000 was pretty stupid from a booking standpoint. Basically, WWE recycled the exact same storyline for the third time in the last 2 years (McMahons look like they are turning on each other and it all turns out to be a game to fool Austin/Rock). It's basically an insult to intelligence of fans to keep recycling the same storyline over and over and act like you are giving some some sort of a plot twist that no one ever expected.

Personally, I'd have gone for Triple H against The Rock in a straight forward one-on-one match, with The Rock winning the title. Yeah, it probably would've been predictable, but sometimes predictable is what the people want - Hogan beating Savage and Slaughter at WM5 and WM7 were predictable, just like Austin beating HBK at WM14 was predictable, and it didn't diminish the moments or matches at all. I'd have given The Rock a straight up win to give him that iconic WrestleMania moment.
