- Before their WrestleMania 27 match even happened this past Sunday, sources report that WWE officials were discussing a Triple H vs. The Undertaker rematch for WrestleMania 28 in 2012 from Miami, Florida.

This shows ZERO originality on WWE's part. So we will get four years of Taker versus HHH/HBK? Next year is the perfect chance to give a younger guy a rub -- and I'm not even talking about that person beating Undertaker.

If this is indeed the match next year I hope the streak ends. If Taker is planned to win again than this doesn't make sense. I always felt that if anyone was going to end the streak it should be by someone who's had more than one chance (HBK, Kane, HHH, Edge, Orton).

This match also needs to have the World Championship involved. Either Taker can go in as champ or Triple H. I guess it would make sense if Taker went in as champ, that was he couldn't avoid facing HHH.

This match can have a lot of interest, but if it's just a one on one match with HHH's career on the line it won't mean much -- it needs to be different from HHH-Taker at WM26

yeah i kinda doubt they go through with this at WM 28. It'll feel too much like a rip-off of the Taker-HBK rematch...plus this would make THREE times Taker-HHH faced. Taker only has a cpl of manias left at most, i'd ratehr see him fight someone new.

To be honnest, im thinking it more likely we see a Taker-HHH rematch at Summerslam than WM 28.

Not sure who Taker would face at WM28 if that's the case...it has to be someone big enough to make the match significant. An up and coming star wouldn't have the same "magic" that the last 3 years have had.

That's just it. So in reality they might have to give us Taker-HHH again. If it's for the World Championship I'm OK with it.

I love Chris Jericho, but i don't know that even he would be in the same league as HHH/HBK. Maybe though...he's definitely one of the next best things.

Another option would be to bring in some huge name from outside, such as Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, Sting, etc...not that any of these would necessarily be a 5 star match, but with a big name with star power there would be a lot of hype to it.

I actually have a feeling we will get another big epic taker match next year against a big named star either inside the wwe or outside,

It cant be HHH. After that match at 27, what else can HHH do to beat UT? Another 3 pedigrees?!
No, kayfabe wise and in reality; he's had his chance.
It has to be someone from outside the 'E (Lesnar,Sting,???) or someone new who can be counted on to pull off a great feud and match. For me, this would mean CM Punk, but Jericho is another option. I doubt they will give it to punk/y2j as they aren't a "marquee" name, like HBK or Hunter

Exactly.

We need someone new and fresh get a crack at the Streak. Jericho, Punk or Del Rio should be considered.

You're joking right? Chris Jericho is a better performer than Triple H.
Triple H is a bigger name, a bigger "legend" than Y2J. I'm not talking strictly in-ring performance. HHH has been at the top of WWE for 16 years straight...Y2J has been on and off for a few years. Not nearly as big a name as HHH, regardless of in-ring talent.

The Streak matches are only going to get bigger and better as we near/reach Undertaker's retirement.

A possibility, if they can't find a worthy opponent for next year (Cena is with Rock), would be to have Taker Feud with Vince. Culminate it at Mania with some type of Gimmick match...have Taker Run the Gauntlet...face 5 or 6 people to get to McMahon. wouldn't be a "classic 5 star match", but it could still be a big mania moment.

A Streak versus Career match is good, but not good enough to get most fans excited. Like one of the posters mentioned, HHH tried three pedigrees and a tombstone and still couldn't beat Taker. For this match to happen Undertaker would have no choice but to face Triple H - he needs to go after Triple H. That problem is solved by involving the World Championship in their match. If Undertaker is champion and Triple H has a chance to go for the title and the streak, it will make a lot of sense. Or Triple H could be champion (I'll explain in the bottom of my post). It would be similar to the build for WM 26, however they ended up not using the title. That WM 26 match had the career ending aspect. I believe WWE can top that build.

If they can build it like this, it will sell:

Triple H versus The Undertaker: THE STREAK, THE CAREER, THE TITLE

Undertaker would put his streak on the line for a chance at the World Title; Triple H would not only put his World Title on the line but he would also put his career on the line.

The basic question is why would Triple H put his career on the line if he already has a match set? Mind games, confidence, putting it all on the line?

- Triple H should win the WWE Championship sometime in November
- The Royal Rumble winner should select the World Heavyweight Championship on SD
- Undertaker should win an Elimination Chamber Match where the winner would get the RAW Title shot (this match should pit 3 RAW stars and 3 SD stars - only one Elimination Chamber match at the PPV)
- Taker, within weeks of speculation build would select Triple H as his opponent for WM for the title
- After weeks of build for Streak vs. Title, Triple H announces he will put his career on the line as well.

This is the way to go.

*They can also just have Taker win the Rumble.

Are u sure WWE will give the match a real big time build up this time? U sure they won't let the build up wasted like this year?

If they do Undertaker vs. HHH at Wrestlemania 28, it almost has to be for the WWE Title. I can see HHH winning the title near the end of the year, or even at the Royal Rumble, and the Undertaker maybe winning the Royal Rumble.

That's the only way I would want to see Undertaker vs. HHH again.
