HHH and Undertaker fined by WWE...

"The following is from corporate.wwe.com:

Pursuant to WWE's Concussion policy, the stunt of using a folded metal chair shot to the head is prohibited. Triple H and The Undertaker have both been fined for violating this policy at WrestleMania XXVII. WWE penalizes through fine and/or suspension for violation of this policy, which is unchanged and still in effect."

I thought Undertaker got his hand up to block the chair from hitting his head.. I'll have to re-watch the match to check.. thoughts?

Just Vince trying to go by the book I guess. Sucks though.

Or maybe it isn't even Vince. Maybe its the commision or some shit I dunno.

He did, which tells us that headshots are banned whether protected or not. Big Show was probably fined as well a while ago for swinging one at Gabriel, but it didn't make the news.

While it sucks that they got fined (probably a hefty one, too), it's good to know that this rule is being enforced.

This is one rule that is definitely for the safety of everyone, and for the sake of every wrestler's well-being.

People who believe that really happened need to see me about a bridge and some beach front property I have for sale in Arizona.

:lmao Carnies and fucking rubes.
There's something really funny about this...especially since Miz actually did get a concussion from Cena, and they didn't even use a chair.

The corporate site is not kayfabe. If it says they were fined, they were fined.

Well, that's moronic. First, considering the drop in the water that a fine would be to those two, it doesn't even make a difference whether you fine them or not; they're not going to notice. Second, he got his arm up. They're fining them for a steel chair shot to the hand/arm. If you get your arm up to protect the shot, it's not a shot to the head anymore. Their policy is fucking stupid if it can't make that distinction.

That said, they probably only put this out because they knew some people would have seen Triple H swing for Undertaker's head and wouldn't have seen the block. It's certainly just to appease the idiots who don't check their facts properly, so rather than arguing in a more techinical way, they can just point to the fine and tell them to stop complaining instead.

Taker got his hand up!! I think its fair game to stop pure blows to the skull but blocking with a hand is a protected shot. Stiff punches to be banned next? lol

If you look at it you can see undertaker DIDNT get his hand up and it was straight in the head. As soon as i seen it i thought "this isnt going to end well for taker and triple H"

I can't believe are kicking up a fuss about this. They shouldn't swing for the head without both arms up to take the blow. Taker didn't react fast enough to get both arms up and I'm not saying they DID get fined or they deserve it or it matters to them in terms of money but concussions aren't a joke. They are dangerous and lead to long-term health effects.

Nobody, no matter how tough or old school should take unprotected chair shots any more. There is no need for it and anybody who thinks that "it adds to the match" are idiots.
This is a political fine (if there even was a fine). I'm there was a miscellaneous performance bonus added to their Wrestlemania check…

It's good if true. While it's OK for people to take risks with their own health, if they're going to go nuts after too many chair shots and 'do a Benoit' then it's not really OK.

Actually, I'm pretty sure he's right. The Corporate website is for investors, who need to know exactly what's going on with the company.
