Heath Slater should get a new gimmick and push.

Yea I know what your thinking, Heath Slater is a joke that is only suited for being a personal punching bag for WWE legends. But ill make a few points on how he can become a top star one day.

- He needs to stay al heel, I cant see him as a babyface anytime in the near future, his current character is to cocky and arrogant.

- Speaking of Character, his gimmick needs to be changed. No one can get behind the One man rock band.

- Hes pretty good on the mic, just the few short promos that he has before his matches can show that. He needs to have a gimmick where he can be more vocal.

- His wrestling ability is not really that bad, he needs to add a submission maneuverer though.

What do you think? am i just hopeful, or should the WWE give him a chance.

Nope, he should stay the same. He's only had the gimmick six months and he's getting airtime on every Raw. What is the problem?
If I grew up as a lifelong wrestling fan and WWE offered me big money to travel the world, meet all the wrestlers, and work with some of my heroes growing up, I really don't think I would be upset.

Heath Slater is probably having a fucking blast. Remember, most pro-wrestlers are all marks themselves, that's why they fell in love with the business in the first place. He took a Vader Bomb from Vader, a Power Bomb from Sid, a Crossface Chickenwing from Bob Backlund and a Diamond Cutter from Diamond Dallas Page. I would be as happy as a pig in shit if I were him.

He doesn't need to move up the card, he's great (and I mean GREAT) where he's at. Don't fix it if it's not broken. No one is SUPPOSED to get behind the one man band gimmick. That's the entire fucking point! He's supposed to be annoying and silly, he's the goddamn heel!
Oh god.

It has started; the blind love for another "underdog" wrestler on the roster, I mean.

He is gold right now because of his character. Why change it?
Maybe. He is a great heel. He should be the IC champ.
He's perfect in his role right now. No need to change it.
There's no need to change it at the moment. He's getting plenty of airtime, so I don't see why he would be upset.
It's not so much the mic skills that are keeping him in the low card - it's just his accent. Just hearing him talk makes you annoyed and want to turn off the TV. No offense to Slater, he's great, but his character is destined to be a punching bag through and through.

Though, if Santino can win a championship...
This is why WWE should not listen to the IWC. Heath Slater is terrible. The only thing he's good at is jobbing. I was pissed when he went over Doink the Clown.

Come on, man, Santino is the US Champ. Sure, he is a decent wrestler, but his gimmick is a joke which basically doesn't let him show his in-ring skills and yet he's got a championship. Why shouldn't Heath Slater get a chance? If he gets a decent gimmick, I can actually see him succeed in the company.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with him, I really don’t care for Slater but honestly he is doing just fine right now. His character shouldn’t be dealt with and he is actually getting pretty over right now. I can easily see him becoming a United States title holder in the future if they decide to make him a bit more serious.
Just give him a rhinestone vest, a unicycle, and a banana and have Blandtino play the accordion and set the act up on Superstars.
New gimmick? Not really. New push? Hell yes.

United States champion Heath Slater = early Christmas. Book it.

:avit:
His current Gimmick is perfect. nothing to change.
The world needs jobbers too.
I'd rather be Slater right now than Drew.

At least Slater is getting air time and is working with legends of the business. He's fine were he is.

He's suppose to be a silly heel, who gets his ass kicked.
No. He was, is and should always be the One Man Band, the glorified jobber.

So much this. And waht many other posters have alread ysaid. Slater is GREAT in his current role and there is no need to change it. And if the WWE ever does want to move him up the card as a heel they can easily do that with his current gimmick or minor tweeks to it.
