It's pretty well known that Jericho idolised Shawn growing up in the biz and considers him the GOAT.. and when he heard he was returning do you think, knowing that having been out for years with a back injury that his return may not last all that long and maybe being his only opportunity to wrestle his idol at the grandest stage of them all, he put forward a request to vince/shawn for this match to happen more than it being a creative decision ?
