To me, the one greatest moment in the attitude era was when Austin coined the 3:16 phrase in King of the Ring. What's yours?

Bang 3:16
I wouldn't say KOTR 1996 was attitude era to be honest.

For me though, when ever I think of Attitude I think of mostly Austin and stuff like Bang 3:16, the beer truck, the cement truck, Dr. Austin etc.

There were too many memorable moments to pick just one.

Bang 3:16

this?!
Re: The greatest moment in attitude era

Foleys title win, especially when austins music hits & crowd go nuts. Pure drama. As slyy blue said most of the iconic stone cold moments during 1998/99.
Re: The greatest moment in attitude era

Pretty much anything with Austin! Not so much a moment, but that whole Austin/Taker/Kane storyline throughout 1998 was probably the best storyline they ever did.

When I think of the Attitude Era, I just think about this moment:

That was a hell of a moment, two tough bad assess going at each other in a promo.. Shawn Michaels had to take back seat.
Re: The greatest moment in attitude era

Another vote here for Mick's title win. That, combined with the epic :D at Schiavone's spolier backfire.

I agree. Tyson & Austin was so big and such a huge moment in wrestling history. It was very special for sure. Tyson & Austin that night on Raw started the turn around for WWE
Re: The greatest moment in attitude era

Foley and Austin visiting Vince at the hospital......
Re: The greatest moment in attitude era

austin 3:16 speech, beer truck, squaring off with tyson, bang 3:16 vince at hospital, kane's debut, dx formation, rise of the rock too many to choose from.
Re: The greatest moment in attitude era

CEO 3:16 is my all time favourite segment but I won't object to anything that involves the GOAT known as Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Re: The greatest moment in attitude era

:yes
Re: The greatest moment in attitude era

There was so much great stuff in 97-98 that I was completely worn out as a fan by 1999. Pretty much everything Austin touched turned to gold, but then there's stuff like Waltman's return the night after WM14 or Foley quitting the WWF, which both felt game changing at the time but seem kinda forgotten these days.
Re: The greatest moment in attitude era

are u kidding OP, how can u possible pick just one, so many i can't even remember alot of it
Re: The greatest moment in attitude era

The Rock vs. Mankind I Quit Match or Triple H vs. Cactus Jack Street Fight. Mainly because we'll never see anything like them again. You could theoretically do the entire Austin angle these days without the swearing. I never got the extreme popularity of Austin but then again I started watching in early'98 when the initial Austin/McMahon feud was seguing into the whole Corporate Ministry angle.

There would be stand out moments that you would have experienced for sure, like say the Bang or 3:16 or Beer truck or DX reformation.
Hart/Austin double turn.
During that time that feud was so good and helped get Steve over so well. Bret also a classic heel at that time
