Sabu is one of my all time favs. Without him, wrestling wouldn't have been what it is today.

I think he doesn't get recognized because you never heard him talk. I think that made him scarier.

He was athletic like Seth Rollins, crazy like Mick Foley, and mysterious like Kane in the beginning.

If this guy doesn't get in the HOF, the HOF is a sham.

I don't see why he wouldn't be a HOF'er, WWE took him on in '06 and even included him in their top 25 rivalries DVD. Mind you, I think he'd have to wait for Heyman, then Dreamer to be inducted first.

Imo Sabu definitely has a Hall Of Fame career. He was very innovative during his time, as he was one of the first wrestlers to do that hardcore and lucha style in the US. Unfortunately most people nowadays only remember him for his botches, thanks in part to botchamania, which is a real shame cause he was a unique wrestler when he became a star in ECW.

Was never a big Sabu fan, to be honest. Put his body through complete hell for the past 20+ years, and what does he have to show for it?
He made a living doing what he loved, it's not all about money or whatever. Plenty of wrestlers put themselves through worse, just look at somewhere like IWA:MS, where wrestlers come close to killing each other in front of 20 people in a car park.

I saw him at an extreme rising event back in December against facade. He can still go and didn't really miss a beat.

Fun Fact: Sabu's been shot in the face, had his jaw broken by RVD, stomped on by like 50 yakuza(japenese mafia), set on fire, neck broken by chris benoit, body scared and bicep sliced up by barbwire, jaw broken by sandman, neck broken again by tazz, I think he had cancer at one point and this dude just tapes himself up and finishes his matches.

This man is legit the most hardcore wrestler ever! Definetly deserved more fame and money for what he put his body through.

Would like to see this man in the HoF one day personally, he created a name surrounding himself, I gotta admit I've only seen a handful of his matches but heard the name "Sabu" so many times back in the attitude era days and earlier. He really does have a huge mystique to his name, and the risks he has taken are insane, truly balls of steel.

Nothing can hurt that guy.I tried to find the video where he tapes his jaw up but youtube is sucking.

^The match where he taped up his jaw was against Sandman in that ladder match at House Party '98, IIRC.

I actually laughed as Sandman whacked him with that cane, Sabu falls over and begins kicking in the air, holding his face. Brutal match, too.

Sabu definitely HOF worthy because instead of doing what everybody else was doing, he went a different route and created his own lane. Pretty versatile, in that he could fly, do the hardcore shit but was actually a damn good wrestler. Did everything but talk and that was by choice.

Heyman did Sabu real good. I still remember the first episode of ECW on TNN where they showed a Sabu vignette, revealing he was "banned" from wrestling in the United States. Put Sabu over HUGE.
