Hundred bucks says they will acknowledge minutes later after the match that emt's pulled the person out and he is doing fine.

Maybe Taker and Kane will politely ask eachother to get in the grave because they don't want to get physical as well.

Honestly, I hate 'violent' gimmick matches in the PG era. This should be an absolutely brutal way to blow off a feud but I'm sure we'll definetely be left wanting something more.

I don't think it will be a Vince vs Taker situation where Taker gets completely buried and not seen for months. It will be a Mankind vs Undertaker version where Mankind was covered for a minute then pulled out.

It'd be neat to see whoever gets buried have their hand rise out, then out go the lights and then make it obvious whoever was buried managed to magically dig themselves out and vanish. I don't know though, that'd work better with Taker, but I can't see him losing yet again to Kane.

They actually did that in the Undertaker/Mankind Buried Alive match.

you do realize WWF had plenty of PG casket matches right? I'm not sure what the rating was in 1996 for the 1st buried alive match, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was still PG. People need to quit making such a big deal out of the damn rating.

One thing is Casket Match, other is Buried Alive Match. In the Casket Match, you just get the opponent inside a wooden box. In the Buried Alive, you actually got to put the guy inside the ground.

In one, they can get him out quickly backstage. In the other, you actually don't see him exit.

The difference is big...

PG won't make a difference in this match. Other than blood, this match can continue like normal. People act like PG means that the superstars will be shaking hands and arm wrestling and stuff like that.

Though if the feud continues after this ppv, I see something like:

If Kane gets buried:
The dirt catches on fire and starts burning(almost like burning a hole through the ground) and then burns all the way down to where kane was supposed to be buried and turns out that he's not there.

If Taker gets buried:
It'll be like what happened years ago where the lightning strikes the grave and you see Takers hand appear from the dirt.

you don't see them exit in either one. there is obviously a trap door under the buried alive shit that I'm sure is just as easy to get them out of. the difference is nothing, they both imply the same shit. I remember when guys would dissapear for months at a time after casket matches as if they really did die.

Well with a name like "Buried Alive", you expect it to be something insanely crazy.

And with a "PG" rating (I can't even believe such a match can be PG) it's like having fucking pornography consist of males and females just smiling at one other.

Can't believe it's been 7 years since the last buried alive match. I'm actually kind of excited.

Also, how many buried alive matches had someone bleeding? The Taker/Vince one was the only one out of the 4 I remember.

I think it should be a fun match, just don't expect it to be the greatest of matches, but could be fun with Taker/Paul interactions, and it may be similar to their Night of Champions match (which I did like btw) where they go around the crowd, and don't stay confined to the ring.

In my opinion, that's the way it should be. Obviously the WWE wouldn't pretend that they're dead but whoever loses in a Buried Alive match should be off TV for a few months to maintain credibility of the match. If they're going to lose a BA match and be seen the following week, why not just have a normal contest and skip the fanfare of a gimmick match?

^ Yeah I agree too. Off the top of my head both BA matches that Undertaker lost he reinvented himself when he came back after a few months. Once he went from American Bad Ass back to the to the Deadman after losing to McMahon and he turned to Ministry Taker after losing to Austin.

I wonder if they will reinvent him again should he lose? I think his character has gotten rather stale in his current state.

That would be great. Taker has gotten to the point in his career where he's done everything there is to do so the only fresh thing he can be involved in is a gimmick tweak. Plus, if he really is thinking about retiring in the next couple years, I'd much rather see him go out as a human character so that he can get the appropriate send-off instead of a stupid route like you know he'll get as the Deadman.

So, mankind and Undertaker in 96 was PG and turned out being awesome. This should be one of the most interesting matches wwe have done in some time.

Undertaker continually talks about taking all of his opponents' souls and that he, not Kane, is really closer to the Devil himself, and he's the good guy in this "PG Era"

Throwing some dirt on top of some guy is definitely within the bounds.

I hope we get something a little more like Big Show Chokeslamming Cena through a spotlight than Paul Bearer's urn flashlight available at Wal-Mart for only 6.99 on discount.

It'll just be like the casket matches from the early 90s, except with a bit of soil
