Doubt anyone cares, but this be the rant section and I'm a gonna rant til me hearts content!!!
So I've been sick with a strep throat since Game 1 of the World Series (which sucks a boat load in it's self since, being from the Boston area, I really wanted to enjoy it!) but just as that was starting to dispearse, in sets this wonderful ringing in my ears. JOY!!!
After two miserable days spent sleeping in my bed (and trying numerous suggestions /home rememdies) hoping it'd go away, I log on to WebMD to find out what the problem is. Not 2 minutes later do I find what I'm looking for.
You have: etitius media w/ effusion. GREAT!!!! So, what's that mean, you're wondering? It means that a tube in my throat that connects to my inner ear is blocked, and fluid is trapped behind my eardrum. These are the moments you'd hope to have health insurance.
Now...the part that really sucks.
According to WebMD, this ailment supposedly lasts anywhere from 2 weeks (minimum) to 3 months! (YAY!) I do aim to get a second opinion though (cuz WebMD is just a means of detection...I'm sure it's on the money though) but for now....having limited hearing and a constant ringing in my ears...I can only hope it's not.
But maybe someone on here has dealt with this before and can shed some light on what I can do to fix the situation. Maybe not? All I know is not being able to play my guitar cuz I can't hear good is really pissing me off. (Not as pissed as my mom is that I have to crank my TV up so I can hear it when she's trying to sleep in the next room over)
Welp, that's it for now.
