I don't mind Swagger one bit and felt he was not properly used while on the WWE roster but Goldberg being on the Summer Slam card in no shape or form did any harm, if nothing else it probably made a few former fans interested. Hell I know with myself I at least checked out the wikipedia results lol.
Goldberg got a pop, something Swagger pretty much had trouble getting for most of his career. Swagger's lack of understanding that people love seeing Goldberg deliver a bad ass spear followed up with a jack hammer just shows he misunderstands a lot of the fundamentals of the business. If something pops the crowd, keep doing it. And I don't think the smark crowd has an issue with Ziggler jobbing either, the dude's been doing that for over a decade now. Him losing to Goldberg didn't make him "worse" or anything, if nothing else it was a rub in the sense that he got the drop early on with Goldberg, something almost nobody has ever been able to do.
