1. Suspension of Disbelief

The Undertaker can be buried alive and come back. Kane can make fire shoot from the ring. Paul Bearer can be buried alive in cement and thrown off a balcony.

Not to mention that Edge apparently kidnapped him, took him overseas and back to the USA while still being held hostage. We’ll all suspend disbelief for those angles.

Yet, the idea of Hulk Hogan giving Abyss his Hall of Fame ring and Abyss getting a confidence boost from having it is considered too stupid to be believed by the Internet Wrestling Community.

2. Comedy
The WWE can have the Khali kiss cam, Santino Marella and Hornswoggle vs. The Swagger Soaring Eagle in a match on Smackdown. I don’t hear any complaints.

But if TNA does a one-minute comedy clip with Eric Young, everyone trashes them.

Can you imagine the rants we’d get if TNA had Hornswoggle or a guy winning matches with The Cobra?

3. Using Celebrities

TNA brings in one of the Jersey Shore girls JWoww. She has one segment on Impact.

WWE had a YEAR of Raw guest hosts screwing up names of wrestlers, PPVs and having matches on TV, and yet TNA got more hate for having JWoww once.

4. Poor Use Of Championships

Why does Daniel Bryan have a belt that no one wants? The belt hasn’t been defended in months.

The IC champ got beaten clean at the last PPV. Sheamus gets the WWE title after being on TV less than a year.

And, of course, there was last week's Smackdown weirdness with the World Heavyweight title and this week's Raw with the Tag team titles. No one seems to care.

But Robbie E get’s the X-Division title too soon, and it’s an IWC meltdown. Abyss is off TV selling an injury and fans tweet Dixie Carter demanding that the TV Title be held up.

5. Rehashing Old Things

WWE debuts the Nexus. They say they want to take over, they do group beat downs, they have matching T-Shirts and they ended up splitting into two separate factions.

Yet, according to the IWC, Immortal is the nWo rip-off.

Conclusion

I hope you enjoyed this article. I hope to bring you more; at least one per week. Feedback is much appreciated.

Introduction: This is my first article here on Bleacher Report so first, a little bit about me.

My name is Troy Smith. I'm 25 years old. I'm from the USA, but I currently live in South Korea. I've been a lifelong wrestling fan.

My current favorite wrestling shows are TNA Impact and WWE Raw. I also enjoy NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood.

These are five things that I see as double standards. For some reason, when WWE does these things, it’s okay. However, when TNA does them, they get bashed for it.

Point is, TNA can't get away from it due to little reaction from all sides of the coin. The WWE hides it better with triple sizes of crowds, better pops, better camera's, better networks, better production and better advertisement. TNA has no means and thus, those storylines stick out a bit dumber but make no mistake about it, people may want to bash TNA as a whole and think "comparing it to WWE is lame" but it is what it is, wrestling and TNA/WWE are wrestling business's. They go hand in hand and both contradict each other out the ass. It's just dumb people look for more glamor and WWE is just that.

All of that is pretty damn stupid. And it gets called out on both TNA and WWE.

WWE gets bashed for their stupid comedy skits as well.

BTW, I absolutely love Eric Young. He's my favorite wrestler in TNA not named Madison Rayne.

WWE got completely trashed for their celebrity guest hosts.

4. Poor Use Of Championships

Why does Daniel Bryan have a belt that no one wants? The belt hasn’t been defended in months.

The IC champ got beaten clean at the last PPV. Sheamus gets the WWE title after being on TV less than a year.

WWE gets trashed for the same thing.

Nexus got ripped too.

How is it a double standard? Don't you go to the WWE forums? WWE gets trashed for their stupidity as well.

Just because WWE does things that are absolutely idiotic doesn't excuse TNA from doing things that are idiotic as well. Both companies get called out on their stupidity. There is no double standard.

Funny thing is, WWE fans/marks HATE WWE shows. Always complaining about something about how WWE "never delivers."

TNA fans/marks HATE TNA shows. Always complaining about something about how TNA "never delivers."

But yet, as SOON as the other person on the other side of the fence comes in and bash's the other fan's favorite product, that SAME fan that tears apart their own will DEFEND THE ABSOLUTE LIVING SHIT out of WWE/TNA and stick up for it to fight off the other marks.

The wrestling business and their fans are perfect for each other. Completley manipulating and contradicting themselves. Both fans, and business.

Pretty sure the IWC despises most of the bad shit about the WWE too and yes they complain about it just as much.

You haven't hear any hate for Hornswaggle or the kiss cam? lol.

When will TNA marks care more about improving the product than they do bitching about WWE and its' marks?

1) WWE's product is designed to cater to a completely different audience than TNA's.
2) The idea that no-one ever criticises WWE and that TNA has more "haters" is ludicrous.

It's seems that the worse TNA gets, the more the A-Listers dig their heels in.

i agree with this thread. i think though the real problem is the people who are WWE fans but come into the TNA section just to argue or put down TNA. those are the types who dont see any (or pretend not to) faults in WWE, yet kill TNA for similar things, or even less worse offenses.

Wow, just wow. Every point the OP has mention about the WWE getting a pass on it is facepalm worthy. All those points have been critized. The problem I see in here is that people defend TNA's faults because "WWE did it in the past" and they never heard anyone complain about it. Like some others have said, go to the WWE forums and you will see the same type of complaints. Only in there I have not come across anyone saying since "TNA did it, so WWE can get away with it".
