Jericho's remixed Pearl Jam theme ruled so much.

Generic themes back then > themes we have now.

I loved a lot of the WCW themes. :lmao

 

The Four Horsemen theme. Don't know if that really counts since it wasn't generic or a knock off but it was a strong theme.

As far as knock offs go I enjoyed "American Made" and Raven's Nirvana rip off.

 

WCW had killer theme songs. I have probably forgotten a handful until someone here points them out.

For me, Jericho's theme(evenflow rip off) was always a standout. I always dug Billy Kidman's originally theme. DDP's was always very cool.

There is one theme that for some reason continues to echo in my head all the time, even though it's probably been years since I last heard it, the steiner brothers...

 

I love this type of stuff. Sounds like a slum city's music in an RPG.

 

I also liked the last theme that Mike Enos used. I think he only had it for a couple of matches. It was clearly a rip off of "We Will Rock You" by Queen, and I have never been able to find a Crystal clear version of it:

Malenko, Mysterio & Eddie

 

Compared to today, seems like wcw had the GOAT entrance music.

When you factor in the music of hogan, the NWO, ddp, Goldberg, Jericho, Eddie, Juvi, Malenko, Mysterio & the 4 horsemen wcw probably did have the goat themes.

 

alot of the themes in the late 90s sounded like generic rip off of pop songs

my favorite WCW theme of all time is Lex Luger's from the 90s. It has a megadeth vibe to it

I always like Malenko's theme and it suited his personality.

Goldbergs was another favorite. When it would first hit you could be sure a pop was to follow.

 

pretty much every reply is a theme I enjoy. I forgot about Lex Luger's theme. That is electric lol. Good call on Dean Malenko's as well.

I gotta say, there are some themes posted here that aren't really generic themes, like Steinerized and Disco Fever. Among those posted so far, I have to give a WHOLE LOT of love to Raven's theme and Eddie Guerrero's theme.

Ok, so now for mine. Barry Horowitz had a fantastic WCW theme that sadly I can't seem to find online anymore

This is my definitive WCW generic theme, though. NOTHING about this says "Eddie Guerrero" but dat bass line :yum:

 

Lex Luger's in 1996-1997 was fucking awesome for a standard, generic WCW 90's theme song.

 

Does Sting's Crow one count. Esp at Starrcade with the voiceover.

Always loved Eddie Guerrero's 1st theme in WCW. Much preferred it over the theme he used when he turned heel later in 1997.

Lex Luger's 1996-97 theme was always my favorite, as was Psicosis' theme.
