How about a normal PPV? It's an innovative new concept where the stipulation of a match is determined by the progress of the feud, rather than the date on the calendar.
This. Or King of the Ring.

Yes it was definatly wasted because you cannot create 1 on 1 feuds and are forced to have a 4 way. Similar to NOC where some feuds will be forced

Fatal-four-way was one of the concept ppv's that I thought was a good idea. The thought of having multiple multi-man matches was intriguing because the multi-man match dynamic throws up unpredictability, where as 1 on 1 matches can be highly predictable.

fatal 4 way matches bore me, so to see a ppv dedicated to this boring concept for me was a complete turn off.

WWE are so lazy, these "great concept new ppv's" are just awful

I agree, but Over the Limit which was a normal ppv was bad too. 2010 ppvs have not been good in general.

No Way Out, Backlash, Vengeance, The Great American Bash... "The Bash", Unforgiven, Badd Blood, No Mercy, Armageddon, In Your House series, St. Valentines Day Massacre... all gone, and in their place...

Fatal 4 Way, Tables Ladders & Chairs, Money in the Bank... can't they just keep that going at Wrestlemania?, Extreme Rules (I'm kind of torn on this one), Elimination Chamber, what else is there? "Ring Steps", "Submission"... "Ring Entrances"... why do they have to name all their ppvs based on gimmicks and match types now? Can they not recycle names? Can they not come up with a creative name? Are they really that lazy?

Maybe they should just call a ppv... a wrestler comes to the ring and cuts a promo and says "I'm going to beat you for the world heavyweight championship at... 'February 12th'. And there's no going to be anymore luck for you, the win you got over me at 'December 2' was a fluke!" Or take a page from UFCs book and call the ppvs 'WWE1', 'WWE2', 'WWE3', 'WWE4'...

I wouldn't say anything has been absolutely amazing but I don't think any of the PPV's have been outright bad. The TV has been better overall but it's been a solid year for PPV's for me.

Anyway, yeah, I don't have that much of a problem with them having gimmick PPV's but I just don't think this is one that people really care about so it is pointless.

Really?

Okay then what in the hell is going to be on the E's "Best of PPV matches for 2010-2011"?

Yeah I'm at a loss for words to there has been little to NONE of anything "Best of" for this year in PPV. I mean relly what has been the best?

eXtreme Rules
WWE Title LMS
Punk vs. Rey

OTL
WWE Tag Titles
Rey vs. Punk

F4W
Y2J vs Bourne

MIB
MIB matches

Summer Slam
Really? Was anything decent?

So with only NOC, HIAC, BR, Survivor Series, TLC & the Rumble left what in the hell is going to be coined "Best of"

Just throwing it out there

Stay Frosty

I feel like I'm the only person in the universe that likes multi-man matches.

EDIT: Fuck. I just said "universe". I suck.

A couple of gimmick PPV's can't hurt, but now it's just too far with the gimmicks, as every match seems forced instead of letting fueds take place. I suppose it's good for the casual fans though, as when they see what type of match stipulations are on the card they will pay for the PPV.

Its all too commercialise and about money. Thats why PPVs are always churned for no reason whatsoever. Feuds can't be built up properly, random matches occur, random teams formed, random teams broken up....
