Well, for the past few years I have neglected indy wrestling due to the style being completely different from mainstream wrestling, but just recently I've gained an appreciation for good technical wrestling and I've been watching old WWE matches, and have decided to give the indies another shot. Can someone tell me about the matches I should watch? So far I have:

Nigel Mcguiness vs Bryan Danielson- Unification match

CM Punk vs Samoa Joe where they tie at 60 minutes

Man Up! is essential viewing but not technical though. How about Aries vs. Nigel from Rising Above '07?

That's a weird match though. It was specifically designed to piss off the CZW fans in attendance. It was like heel vs. heel.

My advice would be to go and watch all the Danielson-McGuiness matches. Then start throwing in thier matches with Davey Richards. Then through in the 3 of them against Claudio Castignoli.

Just watch ANYTHING with KENTA, Danielson, Nigel, Hero, Davey, MCMG, Low Ki, Daniels and Briscoes.

If you only want the tehnical masterpieces then just go through every Danielson match. Dont dismiss matches like Ladder War I, Cage Of Death, Joe/Kobashi, the Dragon Gate 6 mans, Ki/Styles, etc.

Yeah Danielson matches are where its at. Any of his series against McGuinness or matches with Aries, his match with Shelley, Roddy, Low Ki or any one basically.

And that made it even better. Plus there was fantastic matwork that actually built to a great, but not overdone, finishing stretch. Not just matwork for the sake of matwork, but stuff that had a purpose, and tied in with the story going in.

Danielson/Shelley is fucking awesome btw. It's not the greatest match of Danielson reign wrestling wise, but fuck me it's so much fun to sit through. Danielson cuts one of his best promos ever, even threatening to punch a little girl! The match being heel vs heel works perfectly with the CZW crowd btw so that was in no way a downside.
