The tournament was to fill air time since TNA does not have their act together and could not tape at the Impact Zone. A heel champ is best right now due to better face challengers. If the champ is a face the only legit challengers would be EC3 and EY. Guys like Bram, E Lie Drake and Jessie need time to grow a bit.

This may be a weird question but didn't Tyrus ever get his TNA World Heavyweight Championship match because he won the Gauntlet for the Gold match at Bound for Glory to become the #1 contender for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship? I don't think he did & should he still get his shot at the championship?

No, he hasn't gotten his world title match yet. It was mentioned as a future title shot

EC3 said on Impact that Tyrus can have his title match anytime he wants it.

EC3 loosing the belt in the first place is what's BS. The follow up was a tournament leading to the same match (minus Drew) that cost him the belt in the first place, where he regains it. Perhaps (on paper) it would of been good booking for a face who got screwed out of the title, and got redemption... but EC3's the heel... and the match was lacking. They could of just as easily had this whole world title tournament being the quest for the man who could dethrone EC3, and then have had THAT match as the main event of the debut on POP. They didn't need to take the belt off of him just to put it back on him in such a lackluster fashion.

It was mentioned during the tournament and it was the catalyst for Tyrus agreeing to Jeff's request to not be at ring side so quick. If TNA is smart they will build on the tension of this. Tyrus balancing watching EC3's back while at the same time thinking what is best for Tyrus. Like letting EC3 get beat up a bit since it would make things easier for Tyrus.

As far as the ending with EC3 beating Matt due to Matt not being a spring chicken this was the only way they could go. If Matt was younger and/or EC3 not having the streak they could have went another way and build down the road to EC3 and Matt meeting up to settle their differences from BFG. As it is it was best to get to that now, let EC3 and start having new challengers.

EC3 winning WTS and becoming 2 time world champions is a very wise decision. Of course if it wasn't for DA he would still be champion 1st time, but TNA found a good way to deal with fuckery.

EC3 is a legit 2 time unpinned and unsubmitted champion. He lost the title in unfair 3 way match after Jeff attacked him and won it back in a result of big tournament. And defeated former world champ in the finals.

EC3 is now a credible heel champion, something TNA failed to do with Magnus. But they took the belt off him to fast.

It's literally the only move that made any sense. Lashley would have been a good choice, but honestly EC3 is the best heel in the business right now for a lot of reasons. He's good on the mic, has a good look, and legitimately has people hating him (See this website) He's doing his job! The fact that people can't stand him is a sign of success. That makes people want to tune in to see if someone beats him.

Champions should almost never lose, unless it's a big upset that leads to a title match. Far too often in wrestling today do champions compete in matches and lose all the time. It completely crushes any momentum that they have and makes them look vulnerable. EC3 is unpinned, unsubmitted for over 2 years now. Who else could be champion with a record like that? I like what they have done with him as champion thus far. Champions should have a ton of momentum, and he's got that momentum.

It wasn't a "good" decision out of the joke that was the arbitrary situation they had set themselves up for.

but it makes sense to see him as champion still. He's one of the few guys who matters and has generally come off well via TNA. Just go w/the fact that the last few months in TNA have meant nothing and it'll work out. (as bad as that is, but what are you gonna do?)

I'm glad I don't have that stupid channel.

I literally gave up on TNA, guess what the last moment I saw of TNA!?! Any guesses:

I gave up on TNA during Matt Hardy's promo after winning the title, he was saying EC3 was using lawyers, that meant because of a litigation he wasn't allowed to be on TV with the belt for 30 days, so fucking forfeits the title cause "he needs to be there for his fans", when every last fan was like "peace out Matt, see your champion ass in 30 days.

^-This was the biggest fucking crock of shit. You took EC3's winning streak away just so the dude would give belt up first second he can. This was a bigger botch on creative than stripping Ambrose of the title.

^-Now after all that you just put it back on him, I'm really glad I wasn't able to watch that crap.

I don't like how it was done but EC3 deserves to be World Champ. He has been undefeated for two years, has improved a lot in the ring and is very capable on the mic, not far off the complete package. I think he needs a long title reign to fully establish him and give a big rub to whoever takes it off him.
