I am in no way a Roman Reigns fan. I think he's bland, I don't think his character is interesting, I hate his entrance, and if he didn't look like Diesel, he'd be no where near the top of the card like he is today. Booking him as anything other than a corporate champ at this time is insane.

With that being said.

Raw needs to do more things like tonight!!!! The key word to describe tonight was "UNEXPECTED" and holy crap, that's the kind of thing Raw needs to strive for on a weekly basis!! This is the first time in YEARS where you actually had to watch the ending of raw. Regardless if you like Reigns or not, you still had to see it as a wrestling fan. Keep us on our toes and the rest will follow.

With this raw being like it was, I will now consider watching next monday...but if it's back to same old same old, which it most certainly will, then I'll go back to not watching. Pretty simple formula here.

Agreed. A huge reason why RAW's numbers are falling is because fans know what they're gonna get, and that the only chance of something significant actually happening is on a PPV. The chance that something huge could happen on any given night was a HUGE factor is what made RAW must see television in years past.

RAW was very good. It did not feel like just another show. I appreciated they actually had some big matches like the Extreme Rules match and the WWE Title match. Back in 2005 they used to have World Title matches on Smackdown almost once a month. It was really exciting. New Day segment was also very good.

It was good until the faces beat up the New Day for no valid reason. The New Day were fantastic as always, and they actually gave the usos/luchas mic time!! woah.

Most RAWs after PPVs this year were pretty good. Now we'll see if they can keep up with the momentum, but with Christmas on the horizon... sadly I don't think so.

The matches, especially the Extreme rules, were on point as was the promo buildups to Vince coming but the title change was inevitable and the only reason Vince was in attendance to see his 2year long project win in the same place that boo'd the heck out of Rumble.
Vince really does love to prove himself right!

Absolutely, they need to create more must-watch TV - have unpredictable and unexpected outcomes.

However, I hardly think " Reigns wins the title or we rehash a fired storyline" is that solution. Perhaps a step in the right direction, but still immeasurably obvious, and only remotely interesting because of the title change (which they can't rely on).

More creativity is required than a simple "title change on Raw to trick people into thinking that Raw is unpredicatble again, and thus we'll get that ratings boost" tactic.

The show has became so stale that when they finally throw us a curveball it revitalize your faith in the future. The only problem is maintaining it in the coming weeks and I have no faith in their ability to stay consistent. We've had good shows before with terrible follow up and then the show falls off a cliff again for a few months until we have another show like this one.
