I know it's been a topic of debate practically every PPV but this time it legit makes sense.

That whole segment between Triple H and Roman will lead to something. Either Roman will cave in and turn heel in the final match to ensure his first championship or someone else will. Who better than Dean? Dean wasn't mentioned while HHH considered Seth then Roman to be "the man". If that doesn't turn Dean, what would? He could easily pull the jealousy card, how he was ignored, and basically Reigns' lapdog.

Also consider that WWE is seriously lacking a major heel right now, and while I think most will argue Owens should be that guy, I just don't think he will get that push quite yet, plus he's already involved in the IC title program while Ambrose is not involved in anything. Look at the tournament card too, it is heavily leaning toward a final of Reigns vs Ambrose.

If not Dean then who? I think at the end of Survivor Series, one of them (Reigns or Ambrose) is turning heel.

What do you think?

Someone has to eventually.

There are NO main event heels right now with the exception of Wyatt and maybe Owens.

Who's next on the list after him? Sheamus? But even he is midcard AT BEST right now, teaming up with a nearly irrelevant Wade Barrett.

With Ambrose, you could easily turn him into the top heel if he turned on Roman. The whole best friend angle worked well for HHH/HBK before, I don't see why it couldn't work again for Ambrose/Reigns. And, it would give Ambrose some nice solo direction for once, because over the past few months he's seemed like Roman's doppelganger, and it's kinda annoying at this point.

He will, it is his destiny to be THE top heel of the company.

But now seems a weird time, if they just go with the generic "I want to be champion so had to do what had to be done" shtick they will only hurt him.

He deserves something different.

I do agree it would be a pretty generic reason to turn, but who's to say they (or he) doesn't come up with something better. The HBK/HHH story as Dr. Middy pointed out has already had time to sit for a while, maybe Dean craves what Roman has (lol) and so he did whatever he had to do. Plus those who truly love Ambrose know Dean is an amazing heel.

No, because a heel Ambrose would get cheered heavily in a feud against a face Roman, which I don't think WWE wants to see happen at all. It'd be a replay of 2005-2006, when Christian, Chris Jericho, Edge, Kurt Angle w/Muhammad Hassan's gimmick plus Daivari, and Triple H all getting cheered against Cena during his push. Doubt they want to see that happen a second time.

Are you sure? by the way they have continued to push and present Reigns, it seems to me they want an exact repeat of this.

Or maybe :vince5 just thinks the results will be different this time :draper2

I can see it happening, but I doubt it'll have the intended effect. Ambrose will still be cheered over Reigns.

:lol, that's definitely true, but the results will be even worse this time.

The little kids that grew up cheering for Cena are adults or close to it now, and from what I've seen, a lot of them compare Reigns unfavorably to Cena (much how my generation that grew up with The Rock and Austin thought even the "edgier" 2005-2006 Cena was a cheap, less-talented knockoff of those guys and hated him for it.) The people from my age bracket gravitated more to Orton/Batista than Cena, than more to Punk/Bryan, and now more to Cesaro/Ambrose/Owens.

I think a large part of WWE's decline comes from the fact that they continue to try and push guys that are either naturally similar or forcibly similar to past top guys. This is a major problem because the past generation will hold it against that guy for not being as good as the guy they grew up with. This is largely why Punk and Bryan got over so well, they weren't complete copies of Rock and Austin or anyone in top spots in WWE before they came along, just like how The Rock and Austin were not at all like Hogan, Warrior, Hart, and HBK. This is also why I don't think it'll work perfectly if they try to turn Reigns into a Corporate Rock, because there's a strong chance no one else will ever play that role as well as he did; same goes for people who want to see Ambrose turn his character into Stone Cold. They already tried to turn Seth into a knockoff Edge/Triple H hybrid, hopefully he comes back as something different we haven't seen before.

In Reigns WWE has someone who is probably a bootleg version of Batista (who in his early years was obviously influenced by Goldberg, Lesnar, and Warrior, but later differentiated himself enough from those guys to work out); however, they're trying to make him into a bootleg Cena (who himself was a bootleg Rock/Austin, and then transitioned into being a bootleg Hogan.)

WWE can try to recycle storylines and character archetypes, but it didn't work once (Cena was not as big as Rock/Austin nor was he as successful as Hogan after he changed his character), and just as Cena was a step down from those guys, Reigns on his current trajectory will very likely be a step down from what Cena was financially and in popular culture.

We're all expecting it right now. How about this. Wait until Rollins comes back. The Shield puts the band back together and starts dominating and then out of nowhere, Dean says, I'm done. And turns on Rollins and Reigns.

Corporate Dean = bigger than Austin's heel turn at WM17.

I thought that ship had sailed but with Rollins hurt and them trying to make it seem like Reigns is turning heel then I can see it happening.

I think it will play out like SS 98 deadly games. When the Rock turns heel and joins the corporation. I can see Ambrose vs Reigns in the main event and one of them turning heel and joining the authority.
