I think it's cool whenever wrestlers adapt their own style to it. Like Dolph wearing the belt backwards, or Jericho's way he held the Undisputed Titles. I really did like the way The Undertaker held the WWF Title during his first one-week reign, where just let it dangle like a dead animal. I wish he kept it, but it did look good around his waist during his later runs.
But I do prefer around the waist overall. I can see where it didn't make sense for Austin to wear it, but overall, but sometimes it just takes away from the luster of the belt when the cameraman can barely even pick up that there's even a belt there. That was one of my pet peeves with the way Austin held it, but it did suit him.

It really depends on the guy who is holding the title to be honest. Rock, Austin, Cena, Orton and Punk look much better with the title over their shoulder, while HHH, Undertaker, Hogan, Bret and HBK look much better with the title on their waist.
Now if I had a title. I would put it on my waist.

I would personally wear it fastened up and over my shoulder, so I guess over the shoulder. But around the waist looks best on guys like HHH, Y2J, Edge etc. where they can stand and flaunt it in their entrance.

Both. But over the shoulder is seriously overdone right now.
And I think they bring out the belt too much. Like when Austin Aries was getting beat up by aces and eights every week ? He was super ticked and yet he never forgot to bring out the belt.

Normally I'd say waist but with the past couple of WWE belts looking quite chunky it just looks awkward strapped around some smaller guys (like Punk)

Personally, it's all about the character - Stone Cold walking down the ramp & throwing it over the ropes etc. was fucking awesome, cause it was Austin's bad ass nature. Rock holding it over his shoulder like the Corporate champ (which ironically, he would become in real life. :lol) was awesome, cause it was the Rock. Punk wearing it traditionally works for him & Dolph rocking it backwards works for him - so yeah, to me I like the different ways guys choose to wear it.

If they're just walking to the ring for a match, then waist, but if it's a promo or something, then shoulder(so camera can actually get it in the shot).
But the most important thing is that superstars actually have the title with them. Guys often just leave ringside area without even caring if they're leaving with their belt or not(and the ref basically has to remind them to get the belt(or the ref runs up the ramp and gives it to them). I remember when Jericho/Show were tag champs, they rarely ever brought the titles with them during matches/promos.

It kinda looks better over the shoulder, but it doesn't make any sense to carry a belt, so I guess I don't really care.

They are both fine but i think over the shoulder looks cooler. Glad you didn't include the way MNM wore their tag titles.
