Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is one of the pinnacle of the series.

It featured 3 cities, based on Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, and is set in 1992. The map is really huge and the game has incredible variety. You can play pool, exercise, swim in the ocean, get a haircut, gamble at casinos, play basketball, play arcade games, fly with a jetpack, etc. It has an interesting story and characters. It's hard to say enough about San Andreas, there are thousands of things to like about the content, from the setting, to the tons of variety, incredible map, soundtrack, places to see, etc.

Not only is San Andreas arguably the best GTA game, it's one of the greatest games ever made. Do you love Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas?

Of course. How could you not? they threw everything but the kitchen sink into that game. It had so much content and so many features that it made next generation GTA4 look kinda basic and barebones in comparison.

Hell yeah. It pretty much has everything you would want in a video game.

Yep, GTA:SA is my favorite GTA game with GTA 4 right behind it. Both SA and 4 for me have the best protagonist and story out of all the GTAs. They're both also polar opposites of one another, SA being more outlandish and 4 being more grounded in reality despite that being unpopular with a lot of the fanbase. Also, GTA4 online>>>>>>>>> GTA5 online. Although, I do enjoy going on a rampage more in GTA 4 over SA because of the setting("NYC") and for the physics. Only RDR 1 & 2 have more satisfying physics when it comes to KOing and murdering people.

It's my favorite game of all time! I've played through the game so many times! Used to love modding it too. I've also tried speed running it but don't quite have the patience to try play it all in one sitting.

I prefer Vice City. The Miami Vice vibe does it for me.

Yeah for sure there was something very special about the game. I'm always impressed with the amount of detail, side missions and extra random stuff that I didn't even know you could do that is in that game. GTA SA only had 2 years of development and came out on the PS2, yet it's world map was bigger than GTA 4 on the PS3. That's pretty special.

I thought it was fun but too goofy at times. I prefer the more grounded and realistic GTA IV.

GTA V felt like a discount San Andreas.

I’m not much of a gamer, but I got it back when it came out and it’s one of the only video games I’ve ever beat in my life. I still play certain online games, but in terms of an actual “campaign”, or whatever you call it, it’s gotta be my favorite.

Although, growing up on the early GTA games, GTA 3 was more mind blowing. I never thought they’d be able to produce a game that big where you can go wherever and do whatever.

Of course. I brought it back in 9th grade when it was originally released. It's still my favorite open-world game especially since I can kind of relate to it coming from that environment. After SA, Saints Row 1 & 2, Bully, GTA 4(and all the DLC), True Crimes Streets LA & NYC, Sleeping Dogs, and Red Dead Redemption are my favorite open-world games.

It's alright. I don't "love" any of the games in the series. Vice City is the one I enjoyed the most. Grand Theft Auto games don't really connect with me like they do a lot of people, though. I'll play through it once and then never think about it again.

It's one of the worst imo, along with GTAV.
Vice City is the best one by far, then probably 4 > 2 and 1 > GTA V and SA.

I've never played GTA 3 so I can't comment on that.

Yeah, I prefer Vice City - but SA was brilliant. They added so much new content for that game.
