This might sound funny to some people but others will know what I am talking about. I have been following the WWE for a very long time now. When I was young my friends and I always made it a point to watch and follow our fav people in WWE and just like many of you we had are own matches outside.

I hate telling people that I watch wrestling, because they look at me like it is a bad thing. Trying to tell someone, "Hey WWE is on, want to watch it?" Is like handing a Nun a dildo.

Most people that ask, "Why do you watch wrestling?" first thing I always say, I have been keeping up with it for many years and I have always enjoy watching it, plus I know its fake (I feel like I always have to point that out).

Some of you don't have any problem with others knowning that you watch and you are not the ones I am talking too. I was wanting to know if anyone else was going threw the same thing.

I do. I hide and watch wrestling.

Even my mother - who used to watch in the Attitude Era - recently criticized me for watching WWE.

It's just not a cool thing to do anymore.
I know, it seems like everyone used to watch it, but now its like everyone is against you.

I recently graduated from high school, and a lot of people actually watched wrestling. If your a casual fan you really don't get any shit for it where I'm from. I think the mainstream really just looks down on the 'thinks it's real' wrestling fan stereotype.

lol'd at the line about the nun and the dildo. But everyone in my family has been watching WWE for years now so I watch it with them sometimes. Most of my friends don't watch anymore but they don't care that I still do.

I wouldnt say i live a "double life" but i don't let anyone know i watch wrestling.

I'm 23, almost 24 and I doubt it'd be appealing to any prospective girlfriends that i watch wrestling.

the good thing is that i do like boxing, and i let that be known, so the couple times ive been caught watching wrestling, people just assume it's boxing without really paying attention!

I don't live a double life, I just don't talk about it much in public. Especially not around people that I don't know watch it. It's not really much different than anything else I watch. I don't really discuss any of the shows I watch or sports I watch unless it's with someone I know watches it. If that makese sense..

If someone tells me wrestling is fake though I usually proceed to ask them what their favorite movie/TV show is and point out that it is indeed scripted/fake as fuck/completely unrealistic and call them a dumbass for watching it.(Even if it's a show I watch)

I don't tell anyone. It's not that it's fake fighting, it's other reasons why wrestling is really embarrassing.

exactly, i mean if you tried to convince someone that wrestling is actually good entertainment, then they sit down with you to watch it and the first thing they see is vickie guerrero going "excuse me" or the bella twins doing something, or santino or something, i mean just imagine it

If someone tells you wrestlings fake, ask them WHAT WAS THE LAST MOVIE YOU WATCHED?

- actors are fake
- fight scenes are fake
- breast implants are fake

So most people are hypocrites am I right?
I have to remember that lol

Nope. I could care less if people have a problem w/ me watching wrestling, it's something I enjoy watching so mature people tend to respect that. Once in a while you run into a jackass who just doesn't understand people liking anything outside of the things the like but fuck 'em.

well as a college student I do not tell my friends that I watch the WWE but my family knows. I grew up watching it with my brothers. My brother still watches WWE too and he even gets his fiance to watch it sometime lol! I still enjoy the storylines even if I have to endure boring Cena promos

As embarrassing as the profession can be, I don't hide my fandom. What are they gonna do, call me a *******?

Ninja please.

That being said I don't wear any of the paraphernalia and you wont catch me walking around with a fake title belt *how embarrassing is THAT?* but I don't hide being a fan.

I couldn't care less if people don't like it.

I definitely live a double life when it comes to wrestling. I couldn't imagine friends, potential girlfriends, family members etc. not finding someone my age following pro-wrestling extremely geeky.

So I usually watch all PPV's, Raws, SD's, Impacts in my own time and resort to online forums to talk about it. If I have someone over I take time out to delete my internet history and put my wrestling DVDs out of sight so they don't get sus.

Not sure if that's completely sad or not, but keeping it secret does actually make it a bit more fun imo. Like a dirty secret, if you will.

EDIT: This isn't 100% true. There are exceptions, I have friends who do MMA and I joke around with them about it and some past girl friends and nosey friends figure it out eventually.
