Do people not know the difference between Be A Star, Make A Wish, and WWE?

WWE is entertainment, scripted,a male soap opera with athleticism if you will

Be A Star and make a wish are Real Life Causes and charities
so why do people constantly criticize wwe for bullying
in storylines and then applying it to reality?

In reality do they not get WWE IS ENTERTAINMENT
and not Actual Reality or are they still the It's still Real to
Me! people. I don't get it.

WWE is a bully, how(some storyline or feud or joke is mentioned)
they shouldn't do beastar bc WHY??

They shouldn't support a good cause and help bullied children bc of what
happens in their storylines and Show rather than support a good cause
like they do the military,makeawish.glaad.Autism.standupandvote.

I Don't get it.Is it still Real to them or can they not tell the difference between a show
and reality and between a character and the person?

Make a Wish is a good cause, but at the same time, WWE doesn't need to show a long 5 minute clip of Cena or any other Superstar making a visit. Just give it a short announcement and some stills, or put the Make a Wish visits exclusively on WWE.com/YouTube.
Re: Do people not know the difference between Be A STar Make a Wish and WWE?

You gotta understand wwe have to answer to these charities. Look at michael cole he got in all types of trouble for calling josh mathews gay on twitter. Should you call people gay ? No of course not but it was a joke and nothing to stress about but because wwe work with gladd a gay rights group of course those idiots took the joke out of context and made it worse then it really was

sponsors are even worse they give wwe money so they have even more say in what wwe can and cant do.

Then you have the overprotective parents........ ^ see above.

My point is charity's,sponcers, overprotective moms are to blame for wwe being shit

Why not promote a good cause and WWEs involvement with it
on national tv for a quick 2-3 mi.Helps get the message and the cause out
4-5 million people in us and millions worldwide watch raw same with smackdown
so why not promote a charitable good cause and get the message out.

Nba does it,NHL,NFL,MLB,Olympics.
It's a show but the message is loud and clear Showing
Support for a good noble cause being make a wish glaad be a star or whatnot
It can only Help.Whats wrong with taking two to five min out to promote a good cause that
helps people worldwide.

saying WWE causes bullying is like saying Shakespeare causes murder.

I agree with this, its awesome that these kids get to meet these "superstars" but the 5 minute clips are not needed, It feels like there also using it to benefit them which does leave a bad taste in my mouth, But im sure these kids wouldnt care about that as long they get to meet there idols.

The reason people shit on WWE being apart of all that is because Vince is known to be a bully himself. How many times has he humiliated Jim Ross live on tv?
Re: Do people not know the difference between Be A STar Make a Wish and WWE?

Where I get mad is when they blatantly go against their own Anti Bullying message.

Like when Vince did that imitation of JR's condition few weeks back. That was mean spirited & just senseless to me.

even those with money should practise what they preach

they say: crime doesnt pay, the truth: only if you get caught and punished

This.

Pro wrestling is entertainment, it doesn't go against the WWE's message.

However, literally insulting or in in the case of this, bulling someone like that is unacceptable while promoting anti-bullying.
Re: Do people not know the difference between Be A STar Make a Wish and WWE?

I don't see anything wrong here. I'm glad WWE does things like this for a good cause.

I agree with op.

Fans these days have turned into pussy.
Re: Do people not know the difference between Be A STar Make a Wish and WWE?

I don't see nothing wrong with the anti bullying campaign. WWE is all entertainment. I mean, you have movie stars who portray murder and rappers who brag about doing & selling drugs and they are against bullying. Wrestling isn't that special, everybody knows it's for entertainment.

As for the situation with JR, it's not even that serious. Because at the end, the good guy always prevails, which coincides with the anti bully campaign.

that would make them hypocrites too

if the good guy prevails then WHY IS VINCE STILL ON SCREEN AND FOR THAT MATTER WHY IS HE EVEN IN POWER

The WWE only joined the Be A Star campaign because they didn't want to get any backlash for the anti-gay remarks that were said. It was strictly a PR move. We all know that plenty of bullying goes on behind the scenes but as long as they have Sheamus and Otunga go to some school telling kids not to bully when they'll still bully each other anyway then they've done their job.
Re: Do people not know the difference between Be A STar Make a Wish and WWE?

I have two problems with WWE's charities.

1. For the Be A Star: One minutes we see Cena making fun of Laurinitas, the next he's saying "Don't be a bully, be a star". OK obviously I, and all of us, get the difference between WWE storylines and the real world, but the kids that these messages are directed toward probably don't. And we all know the saying "actions speak louder than words", so what's a kid gonna do? Listen to what Cena says? Or copy what Cena does? Most likely the latter. And if I'm watching Castle I don't see a commercial every week with Nathan Fillon telling me not to kill people.

2. With both charities: They "advertise" their charity WAY too much. When you have to show me a 5 minute clip of Cena doing his Make-A-Wish thing every week to me that says you are doing this for your own publicity and not because you actually want to help the people involved in the charity. Notice how these charity clips have greatly increased since Linda McMahon started running for office and her opponents started bashing WWE? Coincidence? I think not. A lot of celebrities and organizations do the Make-A-Wish thing and I rarely see anyone else advertise it the way WWE does.

In short, they aren't doing it to help people, they're doing it to make WWE look good.

How would it make them hypocrites? Only way it would is if people couldn't distinguish entertainment from real life. For example, Waka Flocka. He's your typical southern rapper, bragging about things he's probably never did, as it's just for entertainment. But, he's against bullying and is an advocate for PETA. Based on what you're saying, the whole anti bullying campaign is hypocritical but I beg to differ. You only believe that because you believe what musicians or what you hear and see in movies is real.

And in case you didn't know, Vince as the evil heel owner always got his ass kicked in the end. The ultimate pay off is always the heel getting beat by the good guys.
Re: Do people not know the difference between Be A STar Make a Wish and WWE?

I just find it funny that I'm supposed to buy that every WWE superstar was bullied when they were young. Yeah because everyone bullies the jock football player or the the hot girl. Yeah Big Show was bullied even though he was 6' by the time he was ten.

You do realise PETA are a bunch of attention whoring wastes of skin?

What was it Vince said to Hogan after paying hogan to stay at home "I NEVER LOSE HOGAN" and this was after the evil boss angle became such a painful cliche at this point
