Hello folks,

My coworker and I are having a debate and wanted some opinions on it. When WM 30 opened with Stone Cold, Hogan, and Rock, should HBK have been a part of that segment considering he is "Mr. Wrestlemania"?

Although Michaels is considered Mr. Wrestlemania and is (very) arguably a better performer, he never did for WWE as much as those 3 did. Wrestlemania isn't just a celebration of wrestlemania, but of the whole WWE in which those three names are the biggest of the big.

Nope but I will say that I think every Wrestlemania from now on should open with some sort of segment like at WM30. It just started the night off the right way.

Undertaker should stay off of TV all year and then kick off WM31, his music hitting would be one of the biggest pops in WWE history and his send-off should happen nowhere else but Wrestlemania.

No chance in hell. I love HBK, but HBK didn't belong anywhere near Rock, Hogan and Austin.

The *ONLY* name that could be a 4th member in such a segment could be John Cena, BUT, not today. At least 3-5 years past his retirement. So say, john Cena retired tomorrow. And somehow, the segment from yesterday occured at WM35 instead of WM 30. I think John Cena 100% would have made sense to come out with those 3 guys.

But HBK doesn't belong...neither does Taker, nor Bret...nor would have guys like Andre, Savage or Warrior... Rock Hogan and Austin are just a step above all of them.

No, but if they head to Canada anytime soon letting him and Bret Hart open the show would be classic. I could also see him and Austin doing something similar to this at 32 featuring Texas wrestlers. Not sure if they would throw Booker T or anyone else in as well.

HBK is more of a workrate Mt. Rushmore type - wasn't ever the superstar with main stream cross over credentials.

In the modern era, Cena would probably be the default fourth. Cena will never be to their level though because of his pg/geared to the kiddies booking for his whole career.

It was just fine as it was. HBK may have been given the name "Mr Wrestlemania" but all the guys in the ring were very top level, "face of the company" guys. HBK, as great as he was, was never the face of the company.

Personally, I thought the best part of the opening was there was no shitty America the beautiful.

I was just thinking this, it would be amazing for Undertaker to next be seen at WM31

Isn't 32 in Texas? Either have him return next year and then induct into HOF at 32 or have him return in his home town for a huge pop
