Well, the first game wasn't really bad. It was experimental for the Halo developers, yeah, but it was fun. Destiny 2 is far more superior than the first one. I'm not a hardcore player but it's a good time-killer. The gameplay can be repetitive sometimes and I just use services like this to skip all the boring parts. I hope the devs aren't planning Destiny 3 any soon.

Destiny 2 is my favourite game now. I searched some interesting new games for myself and one of my friend suggested me to try to play Destiny 2. Also lately I browsed new reliable boost service on https://epiccarry.com/destiny-2/ I think it is trustfull resourse because now you can find many scammers who proposing you good deals for low price without any proofs of completed orders. So better to use well-known and experienced services.

So how is everyone feeling about Shadowkeep now it is almost here?

Everything about this new expansion I've seen so far sounds really, really, bad?

This new battle pass thing (which the jury still seems out on whether this replaces the current annual pass, or is an additional cost on top of the DLC, annual pass, microtransaction system they already have installed) sounds like they are turning the game into a pay to win premium exclusion zone. They are locking new features behind paywalls and using shame tactics to force people playing for free to fork out. There seems to be no incentive to play the free version. I get it is just business to drive people toward the premium version, but why even include this version? It is like they know what they are doing is scummy and this is there to soften the blow. The game is being increasingly hacked up and increasingly aggressively monetised. You would think breaking away from BlizActivision would help but it just seems to have made things worse. The levelling system is being reworked to become even grindier, needing more materials we already have to use plus a whole bunch of new ones. I do agree that power creeping is a problem for D2, but is completely altering the powerful engram loop and making it even grindier to level up the answer? I get that vanilla D2 was too easy, but now D2 is even grindier than D1 which was already too damn grindy. The powerful engram loop is like the only immediate gratification the game has left and it looks set to be getting removed. They just seem to have hunkered down and gone pure MMO grindfest and it completely sucks in my opinion.

Like, what positives are there for Shadowkeep?

After reading ab it more about Shadowkeep, I think I have altered my stance on it somewhat. Right now other than excruciating grind for the sake of grind, there isn't a lot of meaningful reasons to play Destiny 2 once you finish your weekly reset. This Battle Pass system reasonably gives you a reason to play longer after the weekly reset is done, as you have this overarching loot goal. A loot goal without RNG or hoops, just a transparent, XP requiring system. That has to be considered a good thing.

I still think there are so many aspects about Shadowkeep that sound either problematic or a full regression and I will be intrigued by what this premium/free dynamic does to the playerbase but I am also not opposed to getting a lot of content up front just for paying. I guess you could argue it could be seen as the start of a potentially slippery slope where Bungie give you the option to skip the grind with real world money, but we are not there. Yet.

I get that the vanilla approach to just hand you everything was damaging long term, but the complete 180 they've done on this approach feels just as harmful. Exotic drop rates have seemingly dropped through the floor, I've been back for a few weeks, I've had maybe two or three drop from doing powerful activities but absolutely none drop from the wild or from prime engrams. At least one was a duplicate, too. It also seems they have changed the system, so basically any exotic worth having drops from exotic quests, not from random drops.

Speaking of those quests, I currently have I think five or six exotic quests I am working on, but all are structured in pretty much the same miserable way. One quest step will require you to put more time into it than any working adult has spare, before the next step turns into pure, brutal, sadism. You then repeat this cycle seven and eight times and your result is either a full blown nervous breakdown or a new exotic weapon, or both. You can never complete these exotic quests by just playing the game, you always have to play them in very specific, very tedious, very frustrating ways that usually force you to fight against the way the mechanics of certain things work.

Like it is bad enough that Destiny 2 rams PVP into PVEcentric weapon quests, but it will also require you to use a shit weapon, get very specific kills, probably have a huge punishment for death and require you to not get 10, or even a 100 kills, but probably something closer to like 500 kills. This means you aren't playing for anyone else but yourself and you're gonna cheese and bend the mechanics for every advantage you can get and if you've got several players all doing the same thing, you're dragging down the entire quality of the mode as no one will be playing the game as it is intended to be played, no one is playing to win or playing selflessly. This goes exactly the same for Gambit quests which have very similar mechanics.

Even when it does include a PVE section, they usually ramp up the difficulty so ludicrously it is still unfeasible. Oh yeah, everything can now one shot you, there is no matchmaking, you get no revives, it is timed and if you die you go to orbit. K THKZ.

I just think it really fucking sucks that content I have paid for is potentially forever locked away from me, so if I choose the premium option and I get exotics and legendaries with no barriers up front, just for paying, I am sorry but I am fine with that. Obviously I'd much rather these exotic quests were actually fun and more reasonably achievable instead, but this is the next best thing until or if it turns into a pay to skip grind system.

It was fun until I realised they're making a Destiny 3, so this game will be completely desolate when that is released and GL finishing off anything you didn't get to do before everyone migrates to 3.
